WDC and DOGE auto conversions to BTC are in 'Pending' state for about 50 mins. Others (LOT and EAC) were converted right. What's up ?

On the PPLNS Statistics screen when I hover over the the "Your Shares" Details buttons I see that I get paid on less coins than the Details for the "Pool Shares".  Why is that when I am mining continuously?

If you watch your cgminer/etc. you'll notice diff changes and new blocks sprouting frequently.  With mixed-mining there is no real guarantee what coin you'll be contributing hashrate to at any given point, so for one shift period you may just have never submitted a share for a coin.  For example, for shift 1637 there was WDC generated but I didn't have any shares into WDC, so I don't get WDC.

It all averages out in the end, but if your concern is getting a specific coin you might want to mine on a pool for that coin specifically.  I personally spent ~3 weeks sending coins out to local wallets in case one springs up in value, otherwise since then it's all convert to BTC and enjoying the reliability of the pool. Sometimes the pool is only on a coin for a few seconds.  If you don't get a submission in that time frame, you won't see any shares for that coin when the shift closes.  There's also some people who decide to mine specific coins which the auto switcher doesn't hit in the same shift.

What is with our hash rate?  Was around 4 MH/s and now it's about half that.

Put something in my tip jar if I made your day. Smiley

The pool is unable to compete vs. clevermining and wafflepool and people switched to those.

Compete how? I get the same amount per week here that I did on clevermining.

Well now, that's just plain rude. And unnecessary.

I've earned *exactly the same per week* here as on clevermining, with the same hashrate: 0.1 per week.

How do your charts prove otherwise? From the hard to read tangle of charts I'd have to say that clevermining and scryptguild are much the same. And where do you get your data from? The pool? That's hardly reliable.

As stated on the previous page (and bold red on the first post), the pool is going to be shutting down/merging into BTC Guild over the next month or so.  After the announcement the fastest user (~1/4th the pool's speed) moved to a scrypt-n coin.

I did read it, but was hoping others would mine to the end with me.

I hope you reconsider at least profit switching between LTC and Doge as well as the auto-convert to BTC.  I loved the current incarnation of ScyptGuild precisely because of the auto convert.

Nope, he does it with actual hashpower on all those pools and uses numbers directly from payouts and CGMiner/SGMiner/etc.  from what I've tested myself, he's actually one of the most accurate testers around the forums (better than PoolPicker who does use the pools' stated rates, which aren't always accurate).

And if you look at the Performance number tab with the actual numbers instead of the chart, it's easier to read.

Scryptguild versus Clevermining versus Wafflepool are most definitely not the same week over week in my own limited testing and these numbers bare that out.  That's oversimplifying.

From his thread:
How is it done?

I'm attempting to determine actual earnings as opposed to what these pools report or estimate. For each pool I add up immature, unexchanged, and unpaid amounts (let's call it Balance), subtract previous Balance, add any payouts, and adjust for 1 MH/s of hashrate: (balance_now - balance_24h_ago + payouts_within_last_24h) / rig_hashrate. All amounts are in BTC. Vertcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin amounts have been converted to BTC at Cryptsy rate.

Charts are limited to the last 5-10 days. All data from March 13, 2014 is available on the second tab of this Google spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VOAhFX1XRizdaTp71qnYI5pRh9VIZEQ51LHuGUmxri0/pubhtml

Caveats

1) All hashrates are "nominal" as reported by cgminer/sgminer/vertminer etc.

2) I'm not including any backup pools or other contingencies in these calculations. If a pool is down I'm assuming zero earnings for that time.

3) To make Vertcoin comparisons meaningful I'm using "scrypt equivalent" hashrate, i.e. the hashrate the same mining rig (based on AMD R9 GPUs) was generating for scrypt before I repurposed it.

4) Dogecoin was tested via SimpleDoge pool from 2014-03-25 to 2014-03-31, from 2014-04-01 I switched to a private P2Pool and kept the same color on the chart. Litecoin was tested via GHash.IO pool from 2014-03-15 to 2014-04-02, from 2014-04-03 I switched to a private P2Pool and kept the same color on the chart. Thin lines for Dogecoin and Litecoin represent approximate "ideal" profitability based on difficulty.

5) On LeaseRig.net I'm aiming for maximum utilization and most of the time I'm renting at the lowest price. I'm not including my own mining proceeds when the rig is not rented out. This means that your earnings using this service could be higher.

Quite a few are sticking with ScryptGuild (we've only really lost one power user for the main drop in hash rate).  The merger with BTC Guild *will* keep profit switching between LTC and DOGE.  It will also be extendable similar to ScryptGuild so I could add more coins later.  Auto convert is unlikely though.

I'm looking forward to autoswitching between just Doge and LTC. This is subjective, but they appear to be the only altcoins worth mining, and having just two coins reduces wallet complexity to a manageable level. I don't mind doing the conversions to BTC myself (or keeping the coins, for that matter) when it's just two coins worth my while.

It seems like the best of both worlds between dedicated mining and autoswitching.

In fact, Eleuthria, feel free to accelerate your schedule. Smiley

That's exactly the point.  Multicoin mining is still profitable, but it requires *constantly* adding new coins because they only remain profitable for a *very* short time, and they die off almost entirely just as fast.  Meanwhile, LTC/DOGE are the most profitable Scrypt coins the *majority* of your time spent mining, and the gap between multicoin pools with every coin and just switching between LTC+DOGE is constantly shrinking.  Compared to straight LTC, it's worth doing, but compared to LTC+DOGE switching, you're talking very marginal gains.
