Not only making the switch to X11 from Scrypt-N, but the coin could do with a reboot with more features to restart this coin. For a while the dev team attempted to keep the coin alive, but their efforts was rather pitiful - making a new logo and an inactive forum does not count as a proper attempt at a 'coin makeover'. Also the new logo not even incorporated into the wallet or the new homepage. Not before long JacobUX and co gave up and moved unto 10-5 coin. A proper attempt to give this coin a genuine makeover was never attempted sadly due to the impatience of the devs and the temptation of moving towards new ventures.  


A call out to the community and serious believers of this coin: Let us join hands and revive this still young but dying PANDA!

Things that could be done:

- New dev and marketing team to give this coin fresh blood (Unless JacobUX and team wants to help the community do the reboot)
- Blackcoin-esque multipool to buy PANDA
- Consider other alternatives besides Scrypt-N to make this coin scrypt-asic proof.
- Incorporation of new logo into wallet/homepage
- Genuine attempts to spread awareness and community building through social media and social community websites (devs and co gave up and just moved unto the next coin)
- Employing an awareness strategy campaign to reach out towards predominately the Chinese and let it become what it originally aimed to be, which is the 'Asian Dogecoin'.
- Contacting mollymachine and rallying up other volunteers to continue their Panda charity foundation plus other new acts of kindness.



Letting go of the past and moving on forward

Fundamentally this coin has good features and COULD of matured well in the alt-coin market if not for several flaws. These flaws that caused the unfortunate meltdown were the IPO, premine and association with Wolong.

But that's in the past - Wolong is long gone. Majority of IPO and premine has been shaken out over the last 2 months and had sold off their holdings. We could eventually move past this negative stigma associated with the coin with proper plans to rebrand and rebuild this coin. Distribution of this coin is now fair, decentralized and not focused on several key wallets.

With a dedicated team and I believe there's a possibility of having PANDA escaping the ltc markets and being listed back in mintpal's btc markets again. If you have a look at PANDA's sell walls on the ltc/panda markets it does not have the unfortunate fate of being blocked up by high numbers of sell walls.

Simply put, there is no longer the fear of "but X Y and Z individuals or groups from the premine/ipo/dev team that could massively dump and kill the coin again"


How to move forward in a positive direction

This coin has in my opinion one of the best exchange ticker moniker of 'PANDA', and the fundamental qualities in which it would mature into a fine coin. There's currently room in the alt-coin market that specifically targets the SE Asia region that no coin has successfully filled the void, attempting to emulate dogecoin's past success in that part of the globe.

If successful, Panda could serve as a good 'gateway' coin to introduce newcomers into the cryptocurrency world from the SE Asian region, just as dogecoins had done for the Western market.

To emulate dogecoin's success, but in predominately in the South East Asian/Chinese markets would require quite a bit of work, but albeit not impossible:

- We need a new dev and marketing team that could stick it out through rough times and could follow a solid plan that enables the coin to learn the lessons in which made dogecoins so successful (Charities and catching the media's eye)
- We need to spread awareness to SE Asia/China
- We need to rebuild the coins image and community
- We need to inject the coin with the right qualities and technology so it has the potential to have value and a function in the future crypto-currency world


I will be contacting JacobUX and asking for his thoughts on whether he is willing to hand over the reigns to a new team, or perhaps stay as a developer on this possible reboot. There's usually over 100 people idling in the freenode IRC channel and that's rather unusual for a supposedly 'dead' coin, so it shouldn't be hard to find others that believe this coin deserves a proper attempt at a makeover that it deserves.

We've suspended deposits & withdraws for PandaCoin (PND) at the request of the developers whilst they work on a patch for the client.

There is a suggestion that PandaCoin is being subjected to a time warp attack.

I have been informed that there are several matters that needs addressing ASAP by members from #pandacoin on freenode IRC.

The blockchain needs to be fixed + the KGW exploit code fix implementation.

These 2 issues needs to be addressed soon and I implore others to try to help me to contact Jacob so we can at least open up dialogues. I've found IRC channels where Jacob idles. PM for details.
