Yes, but then again sometimes it's not that simple. It could be other reasons as in this case when the peers.dat and blockchain created when the client was started without a config file blocks the client from even trying when the config file finally gets updated.

Well, it finally downloaded for me and it turned out to be the wrong panda wallet anyway - so much for so little.

I too can not sync Mac or windows Qts. Many restarts, conf files, etc. No block source available. What do you advise...hope I dont need to return to panda 2.0! LOL

people with sync problems just make sure you have the right conf file in the right place and give it some time, i had to wait 30 minutes the first time on Mac, also the conf file on Mac should be here:

~/Library/Application Support/PandaCoin/pandacoin.conf

absolutely there are two different panda coins , whitch one do you support??  i was extremely confused by these two coins!!!

There is one coin that is the most profitable coin to mine in the crypto scene right now, created and managed by wolong.  Whatever your opinion of him is, he is a proven rainmaker with a stake on the success of his coin.  Then there are the copycat coins whose entire purpose to exist is to confuse people who are trying to buy/mine PANDA because they have issues with the PANDA IPO, and are basically wasting everyone's time and money.  You choose.
