How exactly do I update my wallet? I'm afraid of losing my coins... My wallet is currently from version 1.0.0.2.
Thanks for you help!
Close the wallet if it is open. Back up your flappycoin folder/s. Make sure you are backing up the wallet.dat and the blockchain files at a minimum. Then copy the exe and the dll's from the new zip file, into the folder where your old exe is. When it asks if you want to replace files with the same name, say yes. Try to run the wallet. If it syncs and shows your proper coin balance, you are good to go. Then send me 10 billion FLAP to confirm functionality of send/receive Thanks for answering! Well, can I instead just open ver. 2.0.0.1 and transfer coins from my 1.0.0.2 wallet to my new wallet and be safe? Just open your ver 2.0.0.1, sync, then you will be good!

Hello New Dev Team We Appreciate your works and the rebirth of the FlappyCoin. Actually the markt is unsure how to transform wallet Version 1 FlappyCoins to the wallet Version 2 FlappyCoins, me included. Someone should create clearly defined and visualized instruction how Transfer FlappyCoins from Version 1 Wallet to the Version 2 Wallet. Also should the offiziall Homepage www.flappycoin.info have a News Section, where all the central Informationen are also postet, which will be automatically trustfull. FlappyCoin has actually the highest potencial of all coins out there. New Post will come about some good Ideas for the Dev to realize. So i hope for detailed and easly to unterstand instructions, thanks very much! Deivsh

Let me make it absolutely clear: you do not need to "transfer" anything! Simply update you wallet from 1.xx to 2.xx and you are DONE. If you had 3mil coins in your wallet and you upgrade to 2.xx you will have 3mil coins. There is no transferring needed, this was just like any other coin update.

I've written lots of software and still feel a tinge of stress when it comes to updating wallets! This coin should be seriously noob friendly - a step by step with pics would be nice. I'd make one but my FLAP is at an exchange.

I'll make a better guide in a few, but it is as easy as closing your old wallet and opening the new one. We do highly suggest you back up your wallet first just in case, but it should be fine.

Doesn't work. If I replace my old wallet with the new one, the client hangs...

cool offer! TIme to mine some more Flappies? This is an awesome pool. So far I've received an extra 200K Flappy just for finding blocks. This is how a pool should be operated. Thanks Guys. Chris B. We do have to apologise. We didn't want to let people know as to not cause people to worry but the old code, the developement in the past... Things we're royally screwed. We cleaned up the majority of the mess and still cleaned up code/areas now. We are having a successful launch and block 100k+ seems to be accepting new daemons in blockchain and no major forkings are occuring.
This is wonderful news, and the real fun begins after block 110k.
We will be releasing a completely stable version completely rewritten. So far what has been done was cleaning up the mess, and getting the old code updated and working.
Things will be better, as will code. People posting guides/references etc are very helpful.
We are actually looking into a complete rewrite now for the stable version after block 110k.
