Ah,   someone just said on irc that is looks like someone also forked the original fairbrix chain, that may explain what we are seeing... they fixed that issue then forked it.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I'm sure I'm still on the chain I had before I shut down, now with 3 peers. If there was a fork it was before 1720.

The old client or the relaunched client?

I mined till this morning on the relaunched client, there's still a ton of invalidated blocks, but I'm generating new blocks that are staying valid.
Given that I'm getting valid coins and am on the relaunched client, I don't see how it could be a client based fork.

The newest that was downloaded.   How do you distinguish which is old and which is relaunched.

The current leading theory appears to be "EC strike" by an unknown hacker.

I just added FBX to the blockexplorer at

http://blockexplorer.sytes.net/

or directly at

http://blockexplorer.sytes.net/chain/Fairbrix

I hope it helps.  Donations are welcome.

Problem with fairbrix is that it needs a pool and an exchange to really kick off.  Look at the rally tenebrix is getting.

So premining coins for bounties is not okay, but wrestling them from legitimate miners via overwhelming force is okay?

No offense, but that is a rather peculiar way of looking at things. I'd say, almost cartoonishly communist Wink

It's not ok, but in all fairness, ~35 thousands coins is a lot less than your 7.7 million premined coins.

Method of acquisition matters Wink

Mine did not involve taking what was produced via resources of others

But I was primarily riffing at (hopefully ironic) suggestion that the hacker should use those coins for bounties
