I put pressure on those guys to open a bitcoin based online store.
So, I'm doing a little marketing for them.

They already run some stores and they open a new that support only bitcoins.
They actually only have a single supplier (merrell) and a single kind of product (footwear).
But they said that if the reaction is good, they will put all their products (sports gears, shoes, fishing gears, hunt, and stuff like that).

It's:

http://www.bitcoinmart.com

my reward can go there:

I happen to be working for the Commonwealth Foundation at the moment. I'll see if I can convince them to start accepting donations in bitcoins.

Hi guys,
i'm the co-founder of an independent music label based in Italy and we were thinking about moving to BTC as well.
Our stuff is in free download or available as a physical product and we were thinking about putting these goods on sale with BTC.

Our page rank is 3 (www.megaphone.it)

How much is the total reward now? 'cause i've to discuss with my mates and this info could maybe make things moving faster  Smiley

I just asked for the brazillian Libertarian party to accept bitcoins...

Their webpage http://www.pliber.org.br/Liber/Contato

Their facebook http://www.facebook.com/sejaliber?sk=info

Keep in mind they are still starting, and Libertarians in Brazil are more or less rare, but they are growing, so do not expect huge traffic on their sites. But... Yay! Cheesy

Um --- what's the current status of this bounty?

My startup (http://here.st) is wiring up the internet street address TLD - started by me setting up a social network for the apartment building I live in at http://345.eldert.St over a year ago --- anyway, people want to pay their rent online but paypal and credit card have fees that are too high. Bitcoin would be perfect.

So - do apartment buildings and landlords accepting rent with bitcoin count?

Another need we were identifying was all the brick and mortar shops and restaurants that are cash only to avoid credit card charges... Previously we were thinking that setting up no fee ACH echeck transactions could address this and the rent issue as well - but in comparison bitcoin is much simpler to implement ---

Our startup is not funded - there are 4 of us - we were going to setup a kickstarter.com project to raise funds ---- but if there is direct interest from the bitcoin community to help back our efforts - we could wire up hundreds of thousands of brick and mortar merchants... Is there a kickstarter for bitcoin? Coinstarter?

Perhaps for a different thread, but what I'd really like to see is a list of the TYPES of businesses we'd like to see accepting BTC.

For me, Im an IT guy by trade, and I'd happily accept BTC for my services, but I don't see the BTC crowd as being in need of a computer nerd Smiley

I'd love to be able to shop someplace like Amazon.

And yes, I know we'd all love to see EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY accept it, but maybe if we make a punch list of types of businesses, say Amazon to start with, we get 10,000 people to all contact that ONE PLACE to accept BTC.

Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.

If we could get something as big as Amazon on-board it would be huge for the bitcoin, lot's of other companies would follow. It would get mainstream and people would be a lot less worried about loosing there money in a crash (and everybody in this forum would get pretty rich Wink). Not sure if it's realistic though...

By the way I still need some help with integrating a btc-paymentsystem with my website houseofreplicas.net
