There are a couple of real problems here.

a) I realise you are Chinese, and that English may not be a language you speak, or you are using a translator. Chinese - English translators do not tend to work very well, so your replies on the thread seem very cryptic and mysterious. This is when you are not just posting in Chinese of course. Which is also fine, but you leave us in a position to have to translate and interpret it - that should be your job.

b) You have referred to these mysterious game rules which nobody has been able to work out, and you have promised a writeup from the dev on it. This has not appeared. It now seems as if this whole "block chain forks as part of the game" thing could be an attempt to cover up a broken launch.

c) It is taking way too long to address issues people are bringing up - e.g. not compiling in Ubuntu. It seems as if you are communicating on behalf of the dev, but what is stopping the dev communicating himself please? Surely he can use a translator also?

d) There appears to have been NO movement forward with the coin in terms of exchanges or the promised casino. What is happening?

If you do not address the above points (and others that people will raise I am sure), then Fatecoin will die. Which would be a pity, because it appears to have some innovative features. But people DO NOT LIKE to be kept in the dark. We are throwing resources at your coin to support it - can you please pay us in kind by answering some basic questions??

It looks like the developer is in need of someone to compile a block explorer with a bounty of 200 FATE.

As a supporter, once confirmed by the Dev, I will add another 300 FATE to this bounty. So that is 500 Fate for anyone that can make a working Block explorer for this coin.

The wallet seems to have an issue mining. It'll mine for a little while and then stop (i.e. CPU usage goes to 0, hashes per sec goes to 0). It's happening no matter how many cores I use.

I don't know how long, because I am at work and only checking it occasionally but it's irritating.

Anyone else seen this?

Good question, been thinking about it myself. Here's what I figure:

1) If there are "special rules (like random forks)" that make it pool resistant, and if the devs back it up with some useful services and basic tools, AND if it's added to any decent exchange....then yes, the coin has a future.

However, I am not convinced this is the truth, so...

2) If it turns out to be a broken launch of another clone scrypt coin, without services and without an exchange....then no, the coin is already dead, and we have wasted our time.

I am hopeful this is not the case.

Need some dev input here though...

I think I figured it out - the CPU usage drops to 0 when it finds a block.....I think. Then you need to restart it mining again. Whatever the problem is, it's a pain the arse, and needs to be fixed.

Nope, it's not when it finds a block. It's just totally fucking random.

Also the setgenerate console command is not working properly. It doesn't mine with the correct number of cores.

This is pissing me off, and I'm jumping off this for now.

1855 GMT - set to mine at 4 cores, 100%.

1901 GMT - it's mining on 3 cores, 75% - computer completely untouched in this period.

1906 GMT - it's mining on 2 cores, 50% - I have been browsing these boards.

1910 GMT - block found, still mining on 2 cores, 50% - computer untouched

1931 GMT - it's mining on 1 core, 25% - computer untouched, and I don't know when it dropped down because I was not watching. Found block is still confirming, so it seems like a real one.

1934 GMT - it's not mining now, 0% CPU activity.

So it can run for a half an hour. How useful.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a fix? Will this help the dev? WILL HE RESPOND? Any answers would be nice....realise you guys are tired, but you want us to mine, right?

1935 GMT - restart miner, runs at 100%, 4 cores

1943 GMT - check the miner, the thing is running at 50%, 2 cores

1945 GMT - it's back to 3 cores, 75%

EDIT: 1948 GMT - back to 2 cores, 50% - and I find a block again! I have got no clue about what the hell is happening here....

EDIT: 1949 GMT - back to 1 core, 25% now - apparently this works on the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle - if you look at it, it goes fucking mad.

The good news is that my block is confirmed, so I have earned 38 FATE.

The bad news is how the hell can I babysit this thing? I can't trust it to mine without me holding it's cute pink virtual hand....!

PS: Future projections: At 2004GMT it will have turned into a whale (or a flowerpot) plummeting towards a planet a long way from earth....
