Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

It's a gamble if you plan to trade.  If what we see is legit, then we win by buying now.  If it's a trap, then we lose when the major dump comes.  I am personally sitting this one out as I won't be up for much longer.

In the long run though, it is win/win because price will only keep rising.  Significantly.

Remember the fundamentals of this coin guys. Coinkite, fast transactions, POS with no mining overhead... etc, etc. Why would this coin not rise simply on its utility as a currency? Don't believe the FUD.

Mine and hold.

PLEASE READ MINERS:
At the current hash rates the mining pool generates 35-60 BTC a day. At the current price that buys roughly 200,000 coins a DAY.
So with a LIMITED SUPPLY of 74 Million coins at the current price the pool will BUY THE ENTIRE MARKET in one year. (consider the higher the price the more miners too)
I want everyone to read this so that it really sinks in.
Dumpers or not, if the miners HOLD they will push this coin much higher than it was last week. Even in 3 months, they will have bought 25% of the entire supply. By that time im very certain that the price will give way to the pressure. Blackcoin will surpass doge and litecoin. There are so many scrypt coins for us to crush its amazing. Keep strong hands boys. This is a holders coin.

I agree with you SO MUCH,

fact is we have to many kids around here behind their screen thinking they are in the wolf of wall street and can make a quick $$

supply and demand.

For the kids out here, think of it as a playstation or Xbox that just came out, and is almost out of stock, you are willing to pay the double
because you cannot get a hold of it.

So just hold and price also follows uptrend

Yeah dont forget there are little kids who stumbled into money and they dont understand what it means to hold an asset. Blackcoin is the only indirect mining coin that actually has support in their mining pool. Its so popular that other coins are trying to copy it. Litecoin had the same following. The only difference here is Blackcoin can take every penny out of litecoin! Litecoin volume is so high and its ALL for Blackcoin! Watch as this coin slowly eats every coin above it. I think people are jaded because they dont realize that the coin is eating 1% of itself a day. So in the short term it doesnt seem like much but like the other poster said... just wait for an asic mining farm. Hashrate still pumps 20K a day. There is 2 groups of people playing this coin. One group "thinks" there are whales so they collectively daytrade it. But anyone who really knows what is going on would never sell their coins based on the math. Selling this coin is like selling gold.

Oh it will definitely continuously rise.  But there will be dumps along the way.  Just like any stock.  If you have holdings and don't feel like trading, then not to fear, just hold your coins and you will be perfectly good.

Blackcoin is like having a precious element in very limited supply that only comes from another world.

...speaking of dumps. Looks like the dev team has huge plans for farms and coordinated support walls. Just making this coin the only thing in crypto worth caring about.

ALWAYS BET ON BLACK - Update 8

UNABLE TO BREAK 53K - UNABLE TO HOLD 50k  - CONSOLIDATION IN PROGRESS

The short term Pennant Pattern did not yield to a break out (yet).  Not enough buyers to take the nervous sellers. The market has now established some important support areas and resistance forces that need to be resolved.  The upward momentum is temporarily on hold until new buyers come to support the price.  This is a small market so things can change very quickly!

A longer term Pennant Pattern still remains displaying the squeeze of both sellers and buyers.  Given the strong fundamentals of this coin I am going to bet on Black but it is obvious that others have been taking the opposite side and began selling in the case that we go to test he 40K support.

See here for an explanation on Pennant Pattern:  http://www.investopedia.com/university/charts/charts6.asp

Found a better chart for BC here : http://altcoingraphs.com

The three day chart shows the shorter term situation in which we are reaching a point where some strong volatility may occur.  On this chart we still see the Pennant pattern and soon we will see one of two events: a run up above 50K or a drop to 40K.  I see a good possibility of further consolidation needed and thus we may go down to the 40K support level to begin a new run to break the 50K resistance.

It is time to maintain big support on the previous support floors to make sure that prices are well protected.  Here is the current buyer vs seller order book.

Just as I finished writing this update we are testing 40K..  sorry I was busy!

Time to rebuild some support again.

Hoping we'll be able to buy shares in the farm as a community. Want to throw some money at it. Been holding for weeks.

This is why cryptocurrencies never actually get used as currency. All you shills keep saying there's going to be another "train", you can never accept the current value of it and constantly spread your FUD.

Looks like this high volume bar (high at 53k, low at 38k) might keep us hostage here for awhile. I'd expect both sides of it to be re-tested eventually in the next couple days, particularly the bottom end at 38k because the drop was accompanied by high volume off the top at 53k (never a bullish sign).
Overall it looks like whoever keeps doing these massive coordinated dumps is seriously trying to break the back of BC bulls with this ongoing crap. Massive buy-wall supports below the market price would be wise if we get to rallying once again.

JL

Volume-based technical analysis always wins out. Here we did NOT get our 53k re-test (almost did) however we DID get 38k re-test. Unfortunately that re-test came with high relative volume; so I wouldn't expect that low to hold. Hopefully the re-test of 37k comes on low low volume followed by many of you piling in gradually after the re-test and slowly bringing this thing up on healthy buy-volume.

Here's a longer-term chart with Elliott Wave included.

Here we have either just completed a Wave 1 and are now making the 2 (followed by a wave 3 soon with serious fireworks hopefully) OR we just completed a very large and drawn-out B wave correctional pattern which will be followed by a potentially crappy C wave down that could very well bring us back down to the teens IF there's selling volume accompanying it. Based upon feeling so far I'd say this feels like a long and drawn-out A-B-C correctional pattern which will present one hell of a buying opportunity if we get to the 20's or teens again.
We'll see.
Overall 37k is a re-test target, and 53k is an eventual target and overall I'm expecting some movement here out of this consolidation pattern now.

JL
