Theres no bonus so I guess that the market finds a natural equilibrium in price between the two different chains and you exchange them manually as I'm not certain if the ability to burn BLK for the BLN coin lasts forever or not actually. 

I wonder this too actually, will the bonus just end after the 14th and will there still be the possibility to burn or will this be the final chance to burn BlackCoin for BlackNet?

The block time stamp is not atomic time. There’s always someone that’s gonna burn on exactly the last block. lol

There could be a situation:

Block 2379043 14 Dec 2018 00:00:02 UTC 2,345,678 BLK burn
Block 2379044 13 Dec 2018 23:59:59 UTC 1,234,567 BLK burn

What would be the final block number then?

I think this situation is highly unlikely, but it might be a good idea just to slightly clarify that:

     The final block <stop height> will be the highest block number with a block time stamp less than 14 Dec 2018 00:00:00 UTC

This should allow blocks with minor timestamp discrepancies to be included.

Any thoughts? Agree?  Disagree?  Unimportant?  Leave me alone, I just want BTC back to $14k USD?

Nor should they be. I think everybody making a decision whether to burn or not is fully aware of the risk that they may not get anything in return for burning BLK.  Based on that, I think 13mil burned out of 77mil (16.8% @ $500K USD current value) shows extraordinary confidence in either an idea, a person, or a project.  It’s a much safer proposition to wait until the product is completed and working in order to participate in acquiring tokens.

I can’t say I don’t feel some uneasiness about the BLK I’ve burned.

I think 13/64m is a considerable amount to burn into a project that still has to earn it's merits. A lot is unknown and we will have to see if this will have proven to be a good decision or not.

Its a fair old chunk I reckon considering many coins will sitting be on exchange order books /bots and so not involved directly.  Closing in on 20% is probably a plus for userbase involvement and theres still many who will be putting it off till the last moment I guess.

don't know when it will be distributed. i assume whenever rat4 is ready to launch the blockchain.

final amount is 1 billion blacknet coins, divided between burners proportionally to burned amount and bonus periods

Well this is true but I am not too concerned really. Rat4 made pos3 that 99% of pos coins copy and pasted adopted so if there will be another good advance in POS then I would take my chances with Rat4 than the vast majority of other devs here.

I burned most of mine. Blackcoin will always be copied and pasted now and did not have the network effect to be able to withstand this like bitcoin could. Blacknet will not make this mistake.

How do we start staking once network is live? 

I have tried using the api to POST to "/staker/start/" with a  form input named "mnemonic", but I get a 404 response. I also tried POSTing to /signmessage, but got a 404 there as well.

GET requests to the api are working though, so I can see nodeinfo, peerinfo, etc...

No time limit, or process to redeem BLN.  Your Mnemonic phrase is your wallet.
