Miner, relax. If you want to make this coin go somewhere don't panic. That's just going to scare off new potential buyers reading this topic.

Instead, post here regularly and contribute as much as possible. The more active this topic is, the more it will be read by other people.

No I'm sick of all these fucking fail launches that people just keep jumping into whilst amazing coins like BC just get swept under the carpet

Dude its manipulation of the market. We haven't seen a single pump yet.
Whales are getting coins cheap before the pump.

Vex , two posts before this one confirms this even more.

Why do you think its manipulation to keep it low? What are the signs?

We need a couple good pumps or people will lose faith in this coin. With so many alternatives, it doesn't take long before people do.

Guys, don't simply submit a coin consideration. Explain that it's the first coin to seamlessly transit from PoW to PoS and that it has a very strong community behind it. Be creative!

http://support.bter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

seamless?

there was supposed to be 10k blocks of PoW.. there was MAYBE 7.5k.

That's actually false. If you read the OP it says under the Proof of Work heading that Max height is 10,000 blocks and after that the network will not accept PoW. PoS kicked in at block 5,000 so it worked exactly as it was supposed to.

Pumps are not good for coin stable rise+ is much better.
And this is very possible with POS coin like BC.
If people will see trend going up they will join.
With pump and dump you never know if you are joying before pump of after it..
This is worst part of Pump$Dump scheme.
I would prefere stable rise than pump and dumps which should scary real investors.

it was also stated what the actual final amount generated was supposed to be, which obviously wasn't hit.

Nope these are just assumptions we all made ourselves on the basis it would be 10k blocks * 10k coins without realising that POS would be part of that 10k blocks

I am blunt, don't like it ? Too bad

Ummm, no it wasn't. Some people guessed it would be 100,000 but the dev never said that in the OP. What was said was that there would be 10,000 coins per block and after block 10,000 the network would not accept PoW blocks. It also said that PoS blocks would begin to be generated at block 5,000, meaning that half the blocks from 5,000 - 10,000 would be PoS blocks and not PoW blocks. So you can easily figure out there would be a total of ~7,500 PoW blocks.
