We've been approached by an exchange, CoinMarket.io, who is interested in listing Heavycoin.

How does the community feel about this?
We'll be doing our own research, but any feedback on this exchanges reputation would be helpful.

Lets forget the other small exchanges and aim for Heavycoin on Cryptsy & Mintpal.
Mintpal is better for the coin in the long run & shortrun. <<<<<<

Mintpal
   •   Has more volume
   •   Has 2FA for security login
   •   Smooth UI/UX

Please vote for Heavycoin at https://www.mintpal.com/voting
Registered user are allowed to vote for Heavycoin SIX TIMES in the same hour. (So click Heavycoin six times)
Unregistered users are allowed to vote for the coin 3 times per hour. (So click Heavycoin 3 times pls)

Am I missing something?  With the variable block rewards, if the IPO investors all voted for a low number of coins it would keep the coin supply down and increase the value of the IPO holding?

Therefore the value of the original IPO would be much higher than suggested?

I guess what I am wondering is there a new paradigm of mining "low" to increase the value of your IPO? and if that is the case surely the IPO value must be higher that suggested?

BUYING INTO THE IPO??? DON'T DILUTE THE POT FURTHER!!

I have a 20 BTC stake in this IPO, and would like to sell off 10 BTC.

The IPO total value is already almost 50 BTC. I would like to sell some of my IPO stake to reduce my risk. I believe it is still profitable up to a 75 BTC IPO Pool, and don't wish to see it increase by much more than 50 BTC.

If you're interested to buy a stake from me, please send BTC to 1DnqRRd5rB2pudB7kfo6yRxcUaqjEjwMcP.

Or PM me for more details. No additional charges.

Please PM me or Reply here with transaction details or proof after you have sent your BTCs.

Accepting up to 10 BTC. All additional BTC received will be refunded.

See updated list: https://blockchain.info/address/1DnqRRd5rB2pudB7kfo6yRxcUaqjEjwMcP

WHY am I doing this?

Because when I first invested, I calculated that it'd be profitable as long as the pot remains under 75 to 100 Bitcoins. I personally believe that if the pot remains at 50 BTC, IPO holders have a chance to make 2x or more profits. If it reaches 75 BTC, we might see 1.5x profit. However, as we're now almost at 50, I want to reduce my risk by half, and hence selling 10 BTC worth of shares.

By doing so, another 10 BTC can be injected into the pool, and hence fairer distribution, without having to add more BTC value to the pot and diluting it further.

Interesting idea.  While it's theoretically possible for the supply of Heavycoin to be extremely rare (eg. minted extremely slowly due to aggressive zero-vote mining by IPO stakeholders), there will be other miners voting for a large (or maximum) block reward.  So we don't think it will be that simple.

Yes.  We think Heavycoin will bring a new dynamic/paradigm where some miners will have incentive to vote for a low (or zero) block reward.  During the 3 phases of voting we think it's likely we will see different (perhaps unexpected) strategies adopted by miners.  It's going to be interesting to see what happens.  We don't know what to expect, as this has never been done before.

Regarding the value of the IPO pot, we have no idea.  The free market will decide and we only hope for a good distribution.  It already looks very good thanks to all the supporters on the forums.

How you make pool now ?
You're really serious admin pool and have access to the code not yet published?

When no code to validate hash with new algo is released ? Who you test the stratum?

Personally, I'm waiting release of code for check hash before making a pool.
And after messages in MP  . Part of the code need for pool not even coded yet.

I really wonder if this is not a scam. A 2 days of launch does not have this code for POW.
You have need implemented 2 function
1.) Easy, the vote. Implemented not implemented is not probleme for me.
2.) Now algo POW. Not implemented 2 day before end IPO is very probleme for me.

I  not want make charge.  I  have need reassuring to some absurd thing for me.

Thanks,
Perl

i there.  thanks for your interest

We have received so much interest in creating pools that we are having great difficulty keeping up with our messages.

We are planning to work on the pool software this weekend, which will contain special extensions to handle voting.

We will then make this software available to those who wish to run a pool.  We will make an announcement about this.

hope this helps

It is really hard to understand what you're asking, but I think you are inquiring about the pools and the launch date.

We have numerous individuals interested in running Heavycoin mining pools.  Currently, we are in the process of preparing the pool software for those.  Our plan is to complete the pool stuff this weekend, which is just a relatively minor update to existing tools.

Also, I think you are confused about the launch date.  The launch date is not in 2 days.  The IPO closes in 2 days, but the launch is on March 8th 12:00 UTC (forum time), as stated in the PRE-ANN post.  Between the close of the IPO and the launch date we have numerous checks and tasks to complete in order to make sure the launch is great success.  With that in mind, we'd better get back to work. Sorry for my bad english .
I have not confused END IPO and Start mining .
For me finish IPO and not finish module POW is very suspicious.
I not want make other pool accept register new users . If i can not sure at 100% operational for start mining.
I have need lib stratum for pools . I have proposal accept any code for at. I can convert your code validate in wallet to lib validate in stratum .

You have get 70BTC and you have not make function for POW ? You have already make function for Vote ?
If you have not coded both part of code ! What you coded ? 20 line of code for recalculate difficulty
I am even surprised that you have good reputations. And I know you competent.

I don't understand what you are asking, but I think you are confused.  All of the Heavycoin p2p software and wallets are complete.  We are only working getting the pool mining software ready to go.

wuuut?
