yes right, it is now not a few beginners who pretend to know everything about cryptocurrency but in fact not. this is very dangerous, because they can spread uncertain facts, and will only make FUD mode.
so learning about cryptocurrency is very important for beginners to make no mistake in delivering and receiving information. because most newbies convey information without checking and tracing the facts first.
Involving in crypto is not that easy without right knowledge about it. We have to learn lot of things before we put on investments. Mistakes and loses make us to do not believe on the potential of the coin but the truth is, we have not enough knowledge on how it really works. Sometimes we need the advice of others before doing things.

Well that would be only possible if they will not be supervised. They need to learn more so they need to be guided. Well if those newbies done something wrong which can cause the community a trouble then they must be blocked. I think thise newbies are still searching for something so we need to help them as their superior.

Some of these people are selling themselves as experts, because they have been in the scene for a few months. I have been in the scene for years and I still know very little about EVERY aspect of this technology.

Hahaha how silly they are! Roll Eyes Honestly, I feel the same way with you sir. Though I'm almost a year here already, I still look into myself as a beginner (as always). Yup, I have some knowledge of the practical discussions about bitcoin like its significance or its effects in our economy, but when it comes to the technical matters, I only knew a little bit which still makes me feel like a moron. That's why I really admire some of the experts here (I guess so) like achow101, theymos, Welsh and nullius and I want to become one of them some day though it seems impossible to happen Grin

I agree with all your criticisms, any member here who does not understand the concept of crypto, then do not be shy to ask. we are studying together here.

and do not lie, because spreading invalid info will only create doubts between forum members, and even you will create panic.

Moderators can only block someone if they break the rules. You are not breaking any rules if you are spreading information that you might think is correct. How will it be proven that the poster did know in advance that the information that he forwarded, was wrong.

The best thing to do here, is to reply on that person's post and to give the correct information. DannyHamilton frequently done that, but I think he got tired of repeating things over and over again.

Outside of this forum, things should be handled the same. If someone says something that are factually incorrect, then knowledgeable Bitcoiners should correct the mistakes by stating the facts.  Wink

Crypto currencies is a very risky asset class that have very big swings. If you decide to by anything like Bitcoin, you need to have the ability to able to control your emotions and stomach big downturns. For most people, crypto currencies is not a way to invest - it is more of a gamble - like in a casino. People love it now because it has been going up like a rocket. But it can come down just like a ton of bricks!

I have run into several Bitcoin "newbies" over the last couple of months, that are spreading the wrong information on forums and/or in person. Their intentions is good, but the results is bad, because they did not do proper research.

Some of these people are selling themselves as experts, because they have been in the scene for a few months. I have been in the scene for years and I still know very little about EVERY aspect of this technology.

I think you should rather admit it, when you do not know something about the technology, than selling your little knowledge as facts. I will regularly tell people that I am not clued up with every aspect of this technology, but I always try to do proper research, when I encounter something that I am not 100% clued up on.

~ Ask, if you not sure.
~ Do not lie, if you are unsure.
~ Do proper research, before you educate other people.
~ Accept that you will not know it all.
~ Fact check what you already know.
~ Do not argue, if you not sure about your facts.

Let's agree that we all learn something new about this great technology almost every day, so only a small amount of us are experts.  Wink
Yes you are right, some of newbies pretend they know everything about crypto and spreading some fake news or thoughts. But yeah they need more knowledge about bitcoin. Dont be afraid to ask since asking is a way to gain information from others especially from experts. We cant blame them for their mistake we just need to guide them and inspire them . Let them learn from their mistakes.

BTC newcomers need to learn the knowledge of the blockchain to stay awake in the cryptocurrency market!
Otherwise, the wrong investment choice will be made because the market fluctuations affect their judgment!

I assure that not only to newbies but to those who are not aware of trading bitcoins is also dangerous to them because if they dont know how to gain profit, they can not earn much in the trading bitcoins in the market.

Newbies to bitcoin can be dangerous if they are not aware or asking how to work it.  All you have to do is keep reading current events about cryptocurrency and do research to understand bitcoin.

Crypto is all about self-responsibility and hence it is extremely important to do research before taking any decision as we all know that actions in crypto industry or irreversible so as it is said, precaution is always better than cure. I have done plenty of mistakes in my early days whenever I tried something without doing any research and taking guidance of the experienced people.

As far as i am concern, bitcoin can be dangerous, only to those people who have no enough knowledge of what bitcoin is really all about. Newbies sometimes are greedy, helter-skelter and unexperience, which turns into their wrong intentions. Not to mention, we are all started as newbies. It is just a matter of having a full interest in researching, patience in taking all the risks, hardwork learning about trading, and becoming a wiser in the crypto world.

Keep in mind that Bitcoin was born to keep the banks out of the equation and make digital payments and money management possible without the middleman. Using such online services is like going back to the jurassic  age of banks: you have no control over your wealth. Bitcoin is the only cash you can use for remote payments, would you give your cash to someone else? Kraken, Coinbase and the others have their business case, let’s use them to buy and sell Bitcoins and to store small amounts and only for a short time

the name is just a beginner, of course they are still studying crypto world today, so they also need a lot of insight about crypto. so we as seniors should be able to guide them also so that in the future they can give the real news in crypto world

I fully agree with you, I have been involved for almost a year but I still do not understand this technology. I'm still learning about what I'm doing. I am completely blind on investment and market participation.
I'm involved in some bounty campaigns and find out all the information from this forum and from the veteran members. Thank you for this.

They should do more detailed research on the subject. Reaching a certain judgment without being sure about the subject is causing misinformation. These are things that can be resolved with more research.
