It's actually difficult to decide who makes more, a good trader would surely earn but then there are some instances where the moves are not well calculated and they tend to lose all. For holders, it solely depend on the worth of the coin/token the person is holding: if it's a good one at the long run  they earn more.

really, I think it varies with the individuals. One trader might be earning so much, while the other might be earning so little. One hodler might benefit so much much from hodling a coin, while another might not. It all depends on the coin first, and their approach towards it. What works for one person, might not work for the other.
