Hi Zoomhash, I see on your 10 pack you show 10 piece barrel connectors so that you can use your own computer PSU is this something that plugs into a standard computer PSU or do we need to wire it up. Pictures would be nice
Thanks,

Thanks,
Right now it would be something you need to wire up yourself. We are developing a plug and play solution. But the fastest way right now is to wire it up your self. There will be connectors for you to plug wires in. We will make an instructional manual this weekend. Thanks.

I'm using this for 10 miners, no issues: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007K4XZPG/I am messing around with the 350w version, but Im thinking 10 miners per PSU may be the best overall. For $29, it works and you don't get the hassles of making a computer PSU work. There are probably cheaper ones, but this one is highly rated, likely actually puts out 100w+, and doesnt catch on fire. For a single unit, just about any 12v wallwart / power brick seems to work if you can get the miner to run scrypt-only at <10w. For linux, download and compile - https://github.com/gridseed/usb-miner/tree/master/software/cpuminerFor Windows: http://cryptomining-blog.com/1165-download-cpuminer-for-gridseed-5-chip-gc3355-asics-with-reduced-power-usage/

For barrel power supply connectors, I just ordered a 10pack of these: Then I read that 18 gauge wire is the best bet for this, so I just picked up a spool of speaker wire with the positive lead striped red: I wired them all together, and I'm hoping they'll work. I should be getting my miners from Zoomhash on Monday, so I'll let you all know how it goes. -gudmunsn

Got mine a few days ago, shipped super fast BTC transaction, No escrow....really appreciate the fast service.
Now just have to find the right powerbrick to use on this single one, I know I saw a link somewhere..anyone have it on hand?
If you have the patience, I would order it from ZoomHash, it's much cheaper. It also leaves the guesswork out of the equation. But any 12V 7AMP PSU with a 2.1/2.5mm barrel plug should work. I am not 100% certain on the barrel plug size but I know a lot of PSU manufacturers make them fit both sizes. It will appear as 2.1/2.5mm in the description. Check my guide and PM cablez: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494625.0Thread Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=74397.200;topicseenTell him gridseeds as he's getting a lot of hits now

I am confused by the hashing specs because the people selling them are saying a higher rate than what the manufacturer is saying.
You are saying:
Hash Speed Scrypt only 300 - 400 kh/s Dualmining: 300 kh/s (scrypt, i.e. litecoin) + 8 gh/s (SHA 256, i.e. bitcoin)
But according to the Gridseed.com website:
Hash Speed Scrypt only: max 70 kh/s Dual 2.25 GH/s bitcoin and 70 kh/s max.
The manufacture numbers are a joke and the things are nothing but expensive paperweights, however your specs make it worthwhile.
Where did you get your numbers from?
Thanks!

I believe the 70Khs/2.25Ghs is referring to the DualMiners USB deals. These round ones are 300Khs/8Ghs.

any chance these are going to drop in price since you can by a 750 ti for half the price and get 400kh per card?

Pretty much any GPU is a better buy if you just look at cost/kh. The 750ti still pulls 4x-6x the power and has a lot more overhead (MB, CPU, RAM, Risers...etc) than these miners.

Don't forget semi-industrial cooling solutions once your GPU collection wanders into the double digits.
