Bitcoin is always the king. If you believe in crypto,,, you have to first believe in Bitcoin. That is not something to negotiate about. I do of course hold other altcoins, this is for sure, but only a few that I also believe in, and all these coins in general do not compete with Bitcoin (Litecoin, Monero for example) and in fact support Bitcoin as brothers do.

For me altcoins are a very far away gamble.

Everything decides for himself. I would risk selling BTC for fiat only in case when I am sure that BTC will fall soon. It will be done only to buy Bitcoin when it becomes cheaper. This cryptocurrency is the best investment as it is going to grow all the time. It is not connected with inflation (the number of Bitcoins is limited), and its price can reach hundreds of thousand dollars in the future.

I am not going to exchange Bitcoin for any other cryptocurrency, even if the price of BTC is decreasing. But I do selling BTC sometimes for fiat, when I need money in real life.

If I've enough bitcoin, then i would decided to buy fiat as because of future safety & security. Sometimes we should have thought about our future. when bitcoin prices skyrocket, and I have bitcoin, normally I will sell my bitcoin to Fiat. Well, that's a normal thing for people to do.

You are doing the right job, most of the people will convert their Bitcoin to buy low valued altcoins. They are not bothering about the Bitcoin price because as long as the price of Bitcoin is increasing, altcoin prices are kept decreasing here we are absorbing reversal. So it is good to hold in Bitcoin instead of converting them to altcoins.

I think you shouldn't be so conservative and think bitcoin is an age forever, this only creates disadvantages and a little regret for you because bitcoin is similar to other investments, it can go up but then it can still go down, so we need to sell bitcoin at such times to buy fiat or even buy altcoins. I also agree with you. it's better to keep holding bitcoin. BTC is the only crypto that is safe for long-term investment. if you give up and sell it now you will regret later. Don't repeat the mistakes before, many regret having sold bitcoin in the past only, because prices are currently low.
