How to upgrade TPLINK TL-MR3020 firmware to technobit openwrt

Wrong you need 5 separate switches or USB hubs for each tplink. However you can use one LAN switch to connect Ethernet cables

So i have 50 boards, split that into 10 segments. So with that said I have 10 boards, those 10 boards will all connect to a PSU for power. Then the 10 will go to a 10 port USB Hub connected to a TP-Link. The tplink and all boards can then be hooked up by ethernet to a large switch. Basically all 50 boards, and all tplinks go directly to a switch. Is this correct? Perhaps if Marto or someone else posted a definitive guide. I have a ton of stuff to order.

That is correct except segment count 10 segments with 10 boards each equals 100 boards
What psu are yo going to use?
As I said you need 1000w for each two boards or so..

 Thank you Zich! The one thing I was not getting is the boards do not need an ethernet connection. Thats what was throwing me off. Basically I only need 5 extra ports on my existing switch which is a 48 port so I don't need any switchs at all. Correct?

 I am starting to see what the tplink actually does. (I think)

 I am adding the 240v connections. I just need to figure out how many circuits and what amperage each. Anyone have any recommendations on this? basically 25-26k watts.

Get 5V from PSU Molex to power USb HUB. Then both USB cables from tplink should be connected to that HUB
BTW what boards and how many do you plan to connect to a single tplink?
And sorehammer  forget about PI
It is sharing same interrupts for Ethernet with USb by HW design so in general PI is not good for heavy usb I/O

That's correct, only TL-MR3020 need LAN connection. Miner to TL-MR3020 using USB connection.
TL-MR3020 is your little PC running on linux.

No, but a raspi would. However, it does take a little bit of linux knowledge to set that up.

The specific tplink image (only?) supports all miners from technobit, providing a very elegant solution.

This difficulty which i can use in the settings of several miners, what is it exactly for?
i understand the difficulty of a mining pool, but when i look at it, this looks like its an another kind of diffuculty.

Ok I need putting straight on some things.

1, the miner has a mirco usb port that connects to the hub.
2, the tp-link has 2 usb ports and a lan port, 1 micro usb and one male usb. the micro is for power how do I connect the tp-link to the hub do I use the micro usb.

The MINI USB port on the TPLink router is for powering the TPLink.
Not sure about the rest as I am using one of these for a WAP (wifi access point)
