ok, lol ... I got a f... problem ... somehow my controller is getting hijacked ...

... ... I haven't changed anything then upgrading to wiibox 2.0.2 ... that's it ...

user and psw is getting changed to ... a users miner ... called wwee.1, wwee.2 ...

Block all incoming connections to it (leave only the one from your pc) and see if it goes away :-)

regards,

P.

... I already mentioned that on my controller .... that I received ... there was malicious code ...

that turned pool, user & worker .... to a thrid party in my absence ....

I haven't changed ... anything at the code, except upgrading with wiibox.net to 2.0.2 ...

Has someone a similar issue with a wiibox controller ?

my work around im not using that controller for the moment ...

dude that is dodgy!!! who did you purchase your miner from?

Sounds like bfgminer support is in progress...sucks that the Daulminer USB GUI cannot be modified to support the 5 chip miner...

OK Guys, i just ordered a unit and it should be coming next week. (hopefully)

I am actually taking a chance here since my main computer is a iMAC and i can't seems to find any information. The seller claimed that it should work on MAC as well but couldn't provide more information.

Anybody like to chip in? Or i am better off selling it on ebay?  Cry Cry Cry

There is a way to get root access to the device. Not the source yet, but it is a first step.

Hello

When ever i connect one of these devices onto my Ubuntu 13.10 box it shows up at /dev/ttyACM0 - not /dev/ttyUSB0 etc.

Anyone know why ? is this normal?

Also,

Ive tried compiling minerd from https://github.com/gridseed/usb-miner/tree/master/software/cpuminer - and while mining - it appears to be working, but its not submitting shares - any clues on why this is?
Code:

root@ubuntu:/home/sysadmin/cpuminer# ./minerd -a scrypt -G /dev/ttyACM0 -o stratum+tcp://us.xxx.com:3334 -O alexuk.1:x -D -P -F 600 -2

Still waiting for mine to arrive and wondering if it is feasible to run them in scrypt only mode with no fan fitted. Anyone tried it?

I have 5 GC3355's....I'm considering doing the same thing. Those fans are noisy and will just suck dust all into the heat sink plates in no time! If course I can add an air filtering system later but if they are only running warm at a few watts each. no fan should be necessary IMO.
I'll post something on this once I FINALLY get them mining! This software issue sucks! I can't believe its kickin my ars!

I Modify Miners Professionally! PM me for details!

thats it ,, all 10 units rockin ,, whoooo hooooo

now , can we confirm if the btc side is active or not,

and how do we turn it off

using cpu miner

or direct it to a pool at least.

ps.  that tool I posted has a right click function to remove bound hardware to com ports

also I need to flash my la3m units to the new firmware, to boost the speed, I am a little confused on that process at the moment

If we just received a LA3M this week, do we still need to flash them? If so, how do we do this without the white button?

What is the format for entering multiple miners in the .bat file?  Can't figure that part out...got 1 running...

check out this image:

Can you provide an explanation of what's in that .bat file?

Not really tuning, just some tidy up!

Shortened some leads and added some stocking type cable tidy!

Looks much better, working on a rack mount right now.
