Can someone help me setup a node to solo mine sha256?  I'm on a pool now but have only received about %50 worth of the blocks i've found.  I'll pay a 25k bounty.

I'm currently running an asic rig thats running cgminer on a raspberry pi.  I've gathered from looking on reddit that I can create a node on another machine and then point my asic to it like i would for p2p pooling.  Is this correct?  How would I go about setting up a node?

Thanks!

You need a stratum. You could do what i did.

Install ubuntu or debian(desktop) Linux. You can easily run it on virtual machine (VMWare Workstation).
Download NOMP pool backend from git. Its open source.
Follow their instructions.

In MyriadCoin.conf:

Code:
rpcuser= ???
rpcpassword= ???
allowip=127.0.0.1
blocknotify=nodejs /home/nomp/scripts/cli.js blocknotify myriadcoin %s
server=1
daemon=1
enableaccounts=1
rpcport=???
port=???
algo=scrypt - or sha256 on your case.

start your myriadcoin-qt or daemon.
start your nomp pool with
Code:
 cd nomp
nodejs init.js
Point your miner to your linux virtualmachine IP and pool rpcport and happy mining! Smiley

* you may need to install redis-server and couple of other things for your server to run.

I've seen so many good articles on Myriad lately and everything about the coin sounds great. So what keeps holding down the price? Mintpal manipulating whales?

I want to make a suggestion for the block reward structure:

1. Get rid of one PoW function. Preferably Scrypt, since multipools target this algo the most.
2. Insert a PoS structure (20% of coin creation) whereas you get more stake for having less coins in your wallet. For the people in Brazil this means you will get more if you have less, which means a healthy distribution pattern.

I too vote for Scrypt and Sha takedown , pools are killing the coin and this is no longer funny...

SHA and SCRYPT pools are dumping too much on a daily basis. At the moment we need over 50BTC to sustain the price.

How do you propose to avoid abusers, people with alot of myr aplitting it up in multiple wallets to stake more.

SHA + Scrypt accounts for 2/5 of coins produced. This means two blocks every 2.5 minutes. This equals to 1152 blocks per day with these algos.

1152 blocks equals to 1,152,000 coins/day, multiplied with the current exchange rate of ~320, it is 3.68 BTC/day. I wouldn't say it's not sustainable, but inflation is very high currently (within 9 months the amount of coins circulating will be 4 times the current amount..)

Guys, don't be lazy, please support Myriad in voting! Now it costs nearly 300 MYR! If we win, the value of  myriadcoin will grow, and we'll win a lot more than if we save these 300 coins (~0.5$ pffffffff) in our wallets now!!!

Dear friend, it will never hit 500 unless such persons as you are saying such strange things as you say in this topic. So, evidently, you will be with us for always)
