2000 M total coins here , omfg .
Nice innovation but it will die
Dump of miners = 50 satoshi in the next months
total coins don't matter current price generally correlates with available coins to buy so if people hold it will go up, if people sell it will go down

each coin has a different difficulty so that the diff is proportionate to the work done on that algo. e.g. if loads of people mine sha but no one on scrypt. the sha diff will be high but scrypt will be low etc
I will keep searching the posts but for now I want to ask; Are you saying that it is strong against 51% CPU mining but ASIC weak against 51%? So this is a weak coin? Susceptible thru unpopular mining rigs? Or does the chain ignore... WTF?!?! How does multi-algorithm thing work?!?

If an attacker theoretically obtains more than 51% of the network hashing power of 1 algorithm, for example Scrypt, that is not enough to fork the coin. The attacker would need at least 51% of 3/5 of the algorithms in order to fork the coin. The 5 algorithms make this coin more secure against double-spending attacks than any 1-algorithm (or chain of algorithms) coins, such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, etc.

Myriad by it's design definition is a long-term investment, when you take into consideration the timing of current and anticipated events with the cryptocurrency world. Let me elaborate : Currently we are seeing what I'd call too many scarce POS coins. They serve a good purpose when it comes to day-trading, pumps and their added % interest feature on stakes is a nice addition and incentive. However, realistically speaking we can expect a lot of them to disappear as they have proven themselves to be somewhat of a haven for profitable scams. Basically POS-style coins prove useful for speculation but fall short of behaving as currency because the inherent design encourages one to hoard and save as many as possible for the % interest on stake; whereas trading and circulation of wealth is vital for the success of an cryptocurrency long term. Now, the anticipation of Scrypt ASICs, will be problematic as it centralizes mining for those with deep pockets and displaces a significant amount of miners who will become unemployed. So where will all the miners with their invested hardware go? They will have to turn to alctoins that prove ASIC resistant. OR Welcome to the mining Utopia of Myriadcoin! No premine. 5 mining alogorithms that democratize and further decentralize the mining power. Bringing previously separate miners under a single blockchain creating a very strong and secure network; Myriad also welcomes ASICs to mine and further strengthen the network. Each algorithm has the same chance of finding the next block and they have independent difficulties. Genius, innovative design and honestly ahead of its time. TL:DR - Myriadcoin is awesome

Can anyone here help me mine some Myriad? I just got a new graphics card and have tried multiple times to setup cudaminer and ccminer with no success. I know this has probably been asked many times, but I can't seem to find any guides or step-by-step instructions. I have nVidia GTX 750 and have an ASIC on the way. Also planning on building some AMD mining rigs. WTF am I doing wrong?
ccminer.exe --algo=myr-gr stratum+tcp://myriadscrypt.cryptopools.com:3335 -u username.worker:password

You're mining groestl at a scrypt pool. Use cudaminer for that pool, or pick a groestl algo pool from the op. Syntax: cudaminer -m 1 -l T5x24 stratum+tcp://myriadscrypt.cryptopools.com:3335 -u username.worker:password

All proceeds from the dice games will currently go towards Myriadcoin development. Play for a good cause! Addresses, rules, results and proof can be viewed here: http://cryptap.us/myr/dice/Since this is currently for charity, the 500 MYR bounty for flaws is rescinded. If you do find a flaw I will gladly refund any lost coins, PM me. Feedback is welcome. There is a new game on the dice page, a coinbomb game (also known as "hot potato"). Please let me know if there are any issues. Another new game has been added to the dice page, a transparent Ponzi game. Invest early to receive 110% of your investment (please read the link in the rules if you seriously do not know what a Ponzi scheme is). As always, feedback is welcome. From this week's donated dice, coinbomb, and Ponzi game proceeds: 1440.34029000 MYR donated to the Dev account ( MWShVDmRxWagXcrKHbBSDb2q7EsXxjApA4 ) , txid: 9f9aad99e2141236c972b97b2964401e48647a03b9eeab4d2e73817e911faa96 Keep playing, remember that 90% of proceeds go to MYR development. Play for a good cause!
