btw i downloaded the wallet sometime after 5/16, after mintpal froze trading.

ive always kept my coins on mintpal, never withdrew any to wallet.
i'll just be reimbursed directly by mintpal right?

Come on.... lets all be honest here. The logo doesn't stand a chance with the gaming community. Nothing can satisfy a gamer's benchmark for designs.... and ultimately its the gamers that are going to use this coin inside the game. Devs... how about hosting a logo competition. It will lighten the mood here a bit with the community while you guys are working on the solution. I feel a redesign is essential in this era of cool coin logos

Any wallets created after 5/16/14<--THE DAY OF ATTACK, are invalid and WILL NOT RECEIVE NEW COINS.  This will eliminate the attackers stash of coins    and we will be left with a surplus.  Mintpal lost 22 mil coins from the double spend.  We will reimburse Mintpal, so that they can give users back their coins.  

I don't understand how this would eliminate the attackers coins. He/she could just send the coins to some older address?

Those coins come from this http://nc2chain.info/address/CT6hK54g9MT3gnK72YGWgVYNUEqQu56HCc (from last transaction). As I understood this address holds evidence of double spend.

I don't know if it is possible to attack with that small amount. Someone tech savvy could explain it, hopefully.

Considering the circumstances, a 5% interest rate sucks ass... if 30% wasn't enough incentive for people to keep their coins off the exchanges then 5% will surly fix that.

They should be OK there, and automatically be swapped for the new coins. The bter c2 market will probably remain frozen until after the swap.

"The bter c2 market will probably remain frozen until after the swap."  that's for sure.

They cannot unfroze transactions as network is not secure.
So till a swap you can do nothing - just wait.
