guys i just downloaded the file from the link on the site, uploaded to virustotal and got the same result as the link they posted:
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d75feb1046fec4d9b943da9fd6f6ccb8e6122541a66c3969dddb0e17100d8504/analysis/1394190877/

(still complaining only about the fact that it contains a bitcoin miner, something i am really ok with)

Scanned my system with

Malwarebytes
Spybot Search and Destroy
Adwcleaner
and Hitman Pro 3

Found nothing. Same as 49 of 50 antivirus tools from virustotal.
If the dev didn't code a unique virus without any pattern a heuristic scan could spot than this is pretty safe.

I still want some life sign from the dev team.

yeah exactly.
I don't get why people panic-delete all their shit without even realizing that if there really is working logger virus in your files then they've probably already taken everything they wanted to off you...

I suggest we wait until this gets sorted out and don't rushing any decision or you might just be adding insult to injury.

mmh, when i went to delete the folder where there is the qt.exe, even with the client closed, it give me "the program is used under another application bla bla..."

Open task manager, go look for the client it might still be open in the background. You need to close it from there then you can delete it.

Your wrong people said this is a screenlogger. Which mean the longer you have it on your cpu the longer your screen can be monitored. So when you take it off he cannot take anymore screen picture of your cpu work. thats what i understand to be a screenlogger. correct me if im wrong.

in any case i left my wallet saved.

Also the thing this admin doesn't understand is his lack of communication will simply kill his coin if it is a legit one. Do you think criptsy won't come here looking at the forum before deciding to add a coin to their website? seeing everyone comment about a trojan isn't healthy at all.

So admin either you step up or u will simply lose ur coin if this is not a scam.

No need to re-install windows if you have good antivirus or anti malware and scan and deleted properly..

In my case I still have qt running and waiting for coins  Grin

This coins is dead to me. Only reason i went in is because of the no hashing work. But since the start the DEV has 0 presence.

It's a lost cause

I scanned every wallet I have using that www.virustotal.com and every one of them had those keyloggers etc. so I think we shouldn't worry
*i.e. dogecoin: https://www.virustotal.com/de/file/44d08fce90ac62ef22280102fe15d380915a5acb64f1e7e142d8d1bf1de9d40c/analysis/

mh to me it's paradoxically the opposite...
If someone's trying to scam you you'd think he would do anything to string you along and make you believe that everything is going as it should.
But then again they have no reason to not be communicative so...let's see I guess..

Let me just quote myself from a few pages back... Use vanitygen (-X 95) to get an address if you don't want to download the wallet.

Faircoin.rar (from mega link on faircoin website) has a trojan according to virustotal:

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d75feb1046fec4d9b943da9fd6f6ccb8e6122541a66c3969dddb0e17100d8504/analysis/1394138409/

False positive or massive scam?

EDIT: The qt has Trojan-Downloader.win32.Agent.gen.103 while the ind file has Trojan.Malware.KillAV.Gen.001.

No response from the devs about this. I could understand a false positive related to bitcoin mining, but something that kills your anti-virus and downloads a rootkit...??

Has anyone run it and got a warning from their antivirus / firewall?

why this coin is fair? get coins for nothing? that's not fair. Fair: do the work and get some coins. It looks like an experiment to figuire out greedy people.

An experienced it specialist with good server, some virtualization skills can create a lot of vms and get a LOT of coins (you can buy ips from your provider for that purpose).
