goodness just jumped to 3.5k

24h volume : 3.81821837 BTC

I don't think we can count too much on the price there, mintpal is the best source ( for now ).

I think this is a very nice altcoin as the communitycoin.

If you miss fac train, get on the comm spaceship asap now.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=558319.0

FAC train is just accelerating, and you can still get on now.
Welcome on board.

What's the COMM?  Is it special?  Or has it really potential?
I'll have a look at it.

COMM dev has 50% of the coins in his secret wallets. Scam...

+1 exactly and asking people to vote the coin for mintpal already.

This shows just how much faircoin distribution is compared to these other coins.

Stop misleading people, ok?

50% of the coins will be distributed to the 500 stakeholders. The distribution is ongoing!

You are rejected. But it's not the reason you say it a scam.

I'm not worried , I'm in it for the long run.

After the 15th there can be a big jump ( hopefully nothing will happen in China ).
After that adding sha256 to the pool can bring another big jump.
but even if it won't , I have time, I can wait.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha

You sold at 2800 same second someone was buying to 3000. You made me smile.
That is screenshot time.

Let it go over 3000. Chill. It's going to happen at some point no matter what. Might as well be today.

For the Linux guys that take fun in compiling the faircoin wallet. It seems qt4 does a better job w.r.t qt5. Qt5 cannot include the  QMainWindow file and several others. It's solvable anyway but just more headache.

Time to write something,
I think this coin has a lot of potential but in order to get from here (2800~ ) to 10000+

The community and the dev team need to work together.

- We need more info/stats about the pool and how the coins are distributed.
- The amount of miners needs to grow ( a lot ) , right now we only have ~300 Mh/s .
- We need to add hash256 to the pool, this way a lot of people with asics ( there are a lot ) could join the party.
- We needs to stop fighting with other coins ( I'm looking at you BC ), we have a strong coin, there is no need to bash other coins.
- The web site needs to have more information.
- The dev team needs to communicate more, tell has what plans they have in order to develop the coin.
- Once the dev team shares their plans with us, we ( as a community ) need to work together and help them as much as we can.

But I think the most impotent thing is, we need to understand we can't jump 100% everyday, this process takes time, we need to have faith and keep going at it.

We need to work hard, we need to work together. this is the only way.

excellent post +1

Yes, I'd like to see these answers. Is PoW mining still going on? A few days ago I asked about PoW mining not affecting PoS. I believed I asked this about this 2 days ago. Basically how Mintcoin eliminated PoW. I need to know this won't affect Faircoin. I come in and out of these threads so maybe it was answered. Thanks.

PoW was never a part of faircoin its pure PoS so very little coins are generated. I believe its 6% yearly, it started with 50 mil total and distributed to those who signed up for it. Now the rest of us are just buying up as many as we can cheaply and then the multipool mines up btc to help grow price.

This is where I"m confused. Because I see this.
http://blog.gryfencryp.to/2014/03/13/faircoin/

Can I still mine using PoW?

Miners can still mine using Proof of Work and it helps upkeep the network and keep it simple and it’s a great contribution to the community to mine. But if you are mining for pure profit it’s good to keep in mind that the rewards are 0.001 coins, 10 minutes block time, fast retargeting. Go Break a Leg.

Ahh ok bro technically yes, if you enter setgenerate true into the debug screen of the FAC wallet you can generate .001 FAC off transaction fees. It also helps secure the blockchain. I'll say this though... In 3 days I made a whopping .003 FAC using 99% CPU all day. So for me I can't afford the strain.

Right. So then my question was is this like PoW Mintcoin problems that the dev ended up forking it or unrelated? It's too technical for me to understand so I just wanted to make sure it's been addressed.

reminding everyone that there is a hard fork at block 4800
your protocolversion should be 80501 before that, or you are risking finding yourself on a fork

New wallet is updated in op?

"protocolversion" : 80501
"blocks" : 4363
 I'm not even at 4800
