It's one of the few coins that I think has got real potential to spread worldwide. The coin is backed by a real company from the Netherlands and the team is completely transparent. You can even call them during office hours. Their premise of geolocation faucets is unique and the possibilities are mind-boggling. I wouldn't be surprised if some months/years from now, companies like Facebook offer to buy their work. Seriously guys check it out 

Agree and this is real innovation for CryptoCurrency usage.
So buy now is a good investment en is has a lot of potential to attract also people outside CryptoCurrency land.
I was looking for a GEO coin for application to reward collection of data using Crowdsourcing and Checkcoin can provide that for me.
Over a few months there is a special wallet and application and I 'm sure that many people are going to use that.
Other coins like NXt, NEM, Ripple are more focused on financial application and hey are to complex for the crowd.
The coin for Enviromental applications of the future is EnergyCoin but you all know that already.

Checkcoin is now 275% above ICO so that was for me the best investment and I think 10X more then now is possible.

Can anyone say which altcoin has lost the least this year, since the basic founding to a currency is to preserve wealth over time or we'd all be keeping food and various commodities we use - but they go off!

Deepcoin can either go two ways: death or moon. Seriously, this is the one to look at for short term profit, it is so undervalued considering it has unique features and a low amount of total coins. The devs are still working on it, and there is still a small community holding and doing everything they can to get the price back up. There are more than a few Sr. and Hero members in Deepcoin, these are influential people who have power. One in particular has a massive data center and a massive mining setup mining DCN. I have no idea what is going to happen to Deepcoin but it'll certainly be interesting.

What features make it a possible unique coin to own usefully ?

Anoncoin is extremely cheap at the moment. Good dev-team and steady work for over a year, but low publisity. When the implementation of zerocoin is finished the price is likely to explode.

Hope some of you took my advice to heart twenty pages ago and bought some coins on the lowpoint. ANC is now one week away from implementation of testnet with zerocoin and the expectations has already taken the price above 1 $.

You can hardly avoid random shitcoin sockpuppets screaming "200 k sat soon!" in the forum these days. Well, there you have it, 200 k sat appreciation even before the zerocoin testnet is launched. One can only speculate what the price will be when the main hardfork is implemented in about a month.
