In any case, you're right but you don't lose any coins and you could solve it with a -rescan.  Wink

Is anyone else having issues with their wallet staying in sync?  My wallet was open all day, was in sync this mornign when I left for work.  I bought a lot of Zeit on Cryptsy today and want to move it to my wallet but it was out of sync and only had 2 connections when I got home tonight.  I've closed it and it's been syncing for over 2 hours and has not synced yet.  The number of connections is going up and down a lot, between 4 and 12.  I'm going to close and restart it one more time.

Just curious if it's just me...

I've not seen any such problems (North of England).

In sync with solid 11 connections all day.

Finally synced up after the 2 restart...

If you are in the US, the cold snap has a lot of people home on the internet.
Some ISPs are having a hard time keeping up.
My home Wallet has had to be restarted a few times.
But on my VPS it has stay synced no problem.

Mine not out of sync

What does that meant and how can i fix that

Means you have to wait , until your blocks have enough weight to win at staking.
Our Blocks compete to stake, if you get an orphan , then someone else's block had more weight & staked.
Every day older is an increase in the block weight.

...

If you send coins with computer 1, computer 2 does not know a possible new generated change (back) address. After some time, you have 2 different wallets with a different coin amount and many different key pairs. It ends up in chaos.
A wallet is a container for many private and public keys - like a key chain. Amount of coins is a summation of all addresses.

...

One workaround is to always use coin-control when sending and explicitly send the change back to an existing address.

So nothing i can do on the Sync issue? I will try to run on different pc with different ISP.

With Minting i guess i just have to wait... weird tho all transaction are "generate but not accepted"

Ok,
might be a misunderstanding here.
Did you mean Mine not out of sync  or
Did you mean Mine ALSO out of sync ?

If you meant also, then close your wallet and then restart it.
If you don't see the green check mark then it is not synced,
if it is not synced then it will keep generating orphans as it is not in sync with the network.
Restart it so it can sync with the network.

A wallet is a container for many private and public keys - like a key chain. Amount of coins is a summation of all addresses.

Just the opposite:
NXT has one private and one public key. You can use it where ever you want - simultaneously.
It looks like I misunderstood your original post Ray. I understand about the risk of using two or more copies of a wallet file on different PCs, no doubt about it.
In my case I use the latest copy of a wallet file every time I change from PC to laptop and the other way (backup-like), so as long as I have always the latest copy everything should be fine.

That same thing has happened to me a couple of times now too, kiklo. Some of them were one-worders, which I can understand. But quite a few were legitimate responses, and that left me scratching my head as to why they would be deleted.  Huh

Wallet update will be available within the next two days:

Smaller modifications/fixes:
Sync-checkpoint master key changed
Checkpoint added for year #2 (fixes: 'Checkpoint is too old' message)
checkindex default value = 500

It is not mandatory.

And any plan to get auto combine coin when they mint ?

Just checked my wallet, and more than 2000 inputs of about 200 to 700 zeit that are from date between september 2014 to december 2014 for like 3M zeit that will never stake  Angry

With automatic combine coin to a minimal/max amount we wont have to worry about our coins everydays, will limit number of input on our wallet and save some cpu usage, and we won't lost coin that don't stake coz they're too old or too small Smiley

+1. I don't like the idea of manually move them in a few months and wait days to stake again.

Some questions:

Q1: What exactly is autocombine? Is it a minting feature? If true, what happens to normal transactions (100 coin faucets as an example)?

Q2: How can it work without setting tons of coin blocks to zero age and without losing interest?
Q3: Is it safe to let a wallet make auto-transactions without any approval (wallet is not encrypted then) ?
Q4: Is it an external feature or an intervention in the blockchain.
Q5: How safe is our network if a possible attacker knows the rules (from the source code)?

Cheers
