Yes, recently most sell their altcoins and translate them into bitcoin. I would not be surprised if in the near future the capitalization of bitcoin will increase greatly

Bitcoin is the most potential coin of the cryptocurrency market. It alone holds the dominance of over 54 % of the total market capitalisation. It was the first discovered cryptocurrency and it still ranks first among all other cryptocurrencies.

For those of you that think that Bitcoin is going down this article proves that it's still the strongest in the cryptocurrency world. Not since December 2017 has Bitcoin been such a dominant part of cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is still at the top. The father of all Cryptocurrency must be given respect.  Bitcoin will still remain the top of all in the market no matter the bearish market we are facing. But the advice always is to take advantage of this opportunity and not to miss the massive gain later.

If only there was no fuss about teh ETF, then the market dominance percentage would have been much bigger than this.

Don't forget that in the beginning bitcoin was absolute leader with 100 % of the crypto market (only crypto at that time).
In less than 10 years bitcoin lost almost half of the market.
What can we expect in next 10, 20, 50 years?

Increase in percentage of bitcoin during periods when the market is bad is quite normal..People are switching to Bitcoin during this period because they see it more secure.

I think a strong bitcoins are needed to make a new bull run, we see a lot of new coins without use or community, as soon as ICO are over, the ICO are gone also, starting a new project.
People need to move away from those projects and choose good coins, that why I think we need a strong bitcoins again, and I will not be surprised to see a bitcoins dominance above 60% already next month

Thanks for the article you gave. It is true that bitcoin is still the most powerful in terms of its market cap. Many say it is just because bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency ever presented in the whole world. Others, however, say that bitcoin possesses some great qualities which helps it to adapt through time.

Do you think Bitcoin dominance will keep growing or it will soon get back to its long term descending trend? That is the crucial question.

This was very much expected. The alts were looking more and more over-priced, despite having very little acceptability. There can be no better example other than Ripple. It had a peak market cap of 40 billion USD, despite having less than 1 million users.

this is very good news but for me personally I'm not very happy because the rest of the tokens don't grow in price! because of the fall in the growth of bitcoin, many people pour their money into bitcoin specifically because of autumn, bitcoin

This is a normal development that Bitcoin is getting stronger in the sustainable bear market. Alts has decreased and people are moving their assets to Bitcoin. But most don't want to leave Crypto, so bitcoin is a safe place for now. Just don't be fooled by this situation because the crypto market is very fast changing depending on crypto's own market demand.

Is it for the current market or the 2017 market for bitcoin? As we all know that 2017 was the largest fiat value for bitcoin and does  not seem too good if you will going to generalize the market with the 2017 records since you stipulated about it in your thread. Anyway i do believe on it also since it could be clearly seen through its current market price wherein bitcoin is the most expensive crypto for now.

The current statistics can be seen here:

https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#dominance-percentage

Dominance is sitting at a nice 53.7% right now, still very low, anything but lower than 70% is ridiculous. 80% is the normal if we consider Pareto law's distribution and we are still far from it which points to many shitcoins to continue going very low in the following months as BTC rises.

With BCash about to blow up downwards due the civil wars I expect a lot of people selling their BCH bags and going back to Bitcoin, including Jihan.

Yes, bitcoin dominance staying above 50% in the market. I think it is because the listing ETF.
Many peoples sold their altcoins and buying bitcoin, this explain why the altcoin price dropping but bitcoin price not dropping.
No wonder that bitcoin became dominant, because it is the first cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin dominance has increased recently due to investors confidence in altcoins going down a lot. For bitcoin holders this is great news but equally bad news for alt holders. These are difficult times and one should invest only in those coins which has good potential.
