There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hardfork is coming at block 307770 (approximately at July 30)

This is a mandatory update, please update your wallets (source on github and windows base core clients have been updated, mac and SPV clients will be updated later)

Changes:

1. KGW has been replaced by DGW v3. Solves Time Warp Vulnerability in KGW. In addition, DGW is much more responsive (mitigates multipool issues better) and up to 50 times faster (this is important for non-C++ SPV clients in Java and Python language)

2. New reward system: Base reward reduced to 20 coins per block and now reward depends on the total network hashrate (using formula 20 - 5 * sqrt (hashrate in Gh), but not less than 5 coins per block. This reward, depending on hashrate, then reduced gradually by 2.5% every week from July 30. Thus, after 4 weeks of hardfork, with network hashrate of 4 Gh, reward will be (20-5*sqrt(4)) * 0.975 * 0.975 * 0.975 * 0.975 = 9.03 EXE. Reward, depending on hashrate, also mitigates multipool issues to some extent, and hashrate values used in formula are being calculated on the base of last 60 blocks for more responsiveness (in contrast to standard in-coin calculation using last 120 blocks)

Need to contact your browser support and get the Windows wallet unblocked by virus scanners; it does not like the "EXE" part of the filename and most browsers won't let you download it and/or run it.

Devs, you should also switch N, to at least 3irth level. Asics are ready. This isnt not only multipool issue / time warp /!!!! Asics Are tested !!!
Forget hashrate/ kill assisc at start !!! Asics are ready below N 8192 !!!! Be more innovative !! Verts Devs have Access to Assics since 2 months !!!, they destroys "clone coins" & verts price... but they have $ for pumps/ dumps...

I am surprised there isn't more interest in this coin. Sure it has a silly name and logo, but at least it has steady progressive development. Thanks dev!

Hi, devs. This was long overdue and I am sure that all long term holders will appreciate the reduction. Do you think that you are able to create a graph that shows current coin supply during the next 10 years vs the new coin supply after the hard fork? I believe that such a graph will be very beneficial for people that are not very clear how the value of a single exe changes after the fork in terms of becoming much more scarce.

Mintpal is pretty irrelevant atm. Dev should contact Bittrex and ask them to relist the coin in light of incoming hardfork. I am pretty sure they will get some nice volume around the fork.

Coin is already on cryptsy, which is a good exchange. If it ever gets listed on Bittrex again you will need to keep the volume up, otherwise it will get delisted again.

Cryptsy is good but most of the BTC is on Bittrex these days. Anyway, I am surprised that the market has shown zero reaction to the news. According to my estimations coin supply is getting reduced by at least 60% possibly more.

1 )Only serius investors reads all news...
2) 95% of exe holders/ miners didn't notice it...
3) Mining depends on price,, price depends on mining & miners attitide to the coin. Mining & Selling = price dro, mine & hold  - price raise....
