Mathematics is not something invented by humans, it is discovered by humans... mathematics is the same in any language, on any planet... 1 + 1 = 2 is a provable concept and does not change based on societal norms or which deities they currently worship

Newton and Leibniz are credited with the co-discovery of calculus... they did not invent it, they both discovered it at the same time... math/science is universal, religion is not

Most of the things in religion can be explained by science but science cannot be explained by religion. As a graduate in engineering, I feel science backs everything that exists in universe & even form bases for any religion. Science is supported by facts, while religion is formed by faiths and beliefs ( Which at times are very subjective).

One of the reasons why Christianity is a good religion is, it attempts to get rid of slavery in a right way. What is the right way? It is by allowing people to freely become slaves if they want, and then to limit how harshly masters treat slaves. In other words, freedom yet protection.

Jesus said, "By their fruits you will know them." So, you treat bad people with love, but you be careful to not be hurt by them at the same time. Your evil protests against the Bible show that you are dangerous. Yet, out of love I am trying to show you the right path. At the same time, I don't open myself up to you in ways that you can hurt me with.

Some people use science for what it is meant to be used for... the technical aspects that step in the direction of engineering. Others - more or less useless scientists - try to predict all kinds of things from science, usually things that are way too complex for simple scientist science to predict. They are the ones who turn science into a religion, and they want to make themselves the high priests of their religion.

Although at first glance it seems that science and religion are completely opposed to each other, I think that they have a very important common basis. Both religion and science lie on the ground of beliefs and assumptions which can be proved wrong at any time. If one searches for a truth he shouldn't rely on either of them. We can take to our consideration postulates of both but never think of them as of ultimate truth.

In my opinion, religion and science are really contradictory phenomena. But i think both of these are parts of our lives. These two sections regulate our everyday life. Religion is our spiritual image, and science is physical. Open to Conversation...........

I also see that because the idea of religion makes the science prove on what is true.  And science has the power to make in physical way to explain what happen because there are no science class when the religion began so for now.  We are the one or depend on ourselves on what we need to believe.

While science talks about the real world, proved theories and hypothesis; Religion is more associated towards stories and supernatural stuff. In brief, Science is concerned with natural world while religion is associated with both natural and unnatural. Most of the things in religion cant be explained by science and vice-versa and it is meaningless to associated both of them and try to find relation between the two.

Many people believe science is true. But science, itself, shows that it is often wrong, and the wrong is only figured out later.

The point is that anything that you believe in and exercise regularly is your religion... be it science or one of the formal religions.

That's just false, science has never been wrong.

Scientific theories, however, have limits. Science is not the theories, but the method, the scientific method. And the method is not wrong, it never was. The scientific method indeed is used to limit the validity of the models behind the scientific theories, so that we can afterwards improve it with better theories/models.

Science is true, it's just a method of generating knowledge. Religion is a method of keeping yourself from acquiring any new knowledge at all.
