Man, first - If your family will be on the street if you fail don't be stupid and invest ONLY whats left after your family's home is secured.

And second, i recommend that you put your aim into Ethereum and Bitcoin. Some Alt currencies are performing really well at certain times but in your circumstance i would play safe. You can research by yourself and learn more about the subject. However, DON'T try to trade in your circumstance. It can easily lead to desperation in people without experience in investing.

Future of crypto is always good regardless of what happened to the prices of crypto. Remember after the dot-com bubble burst after the Year 2000, many dot-com companies went bankrupt. People were gloomy and thought that the technology advances in the Internet will die off. That is not the case as Apple hits $1 trillion dollar market cap this year.
