Dead coins always capture 5% of BTC's hashrate in their first month, amirite?

 Roll Eyes

With every person that posts, ask yourself this: what is the motive. Nobody posts without a motive. ANYBODY posting in this thread, regardless of their supposed "opinion" on MZC clearly has a stake in the coin. Why else would they waste their time on every. single. page. if they weren't actually somehow invested? They wouldn't. So here's the breakdown of people in this thread:

1) The largest group: miners and traders who honestly want the price to go up and act that way, sharing positive and promising aspects of the coin. Most people in this largest group want to get rid of most if not all of their MZC when they hit some sort of threshhold - 2x, 5x, 10x profit? These are the sincere people - they might not admit their intentions, but they are sincere in being optimistic about price, and their optimism suits their cause by hoping others agree and help support the buy order side of things.

2) The second largest group: miners and traders that expect the price to go up but do not act this way. They don't plan on cashing out today, but they do like making money off of fear - so they spread it. They aim to spread panic now while uncertainty is highest, play the waves, and increase their position - because they know/expect that sometime this week, the price will be at a premium compared to what it is now, and that is their planned exit. Until then, it's all a charade from this group to make waves on the charts and open up margins. This is, on average, the most trade-savvy group. They're not just investing, they're working.

3) The third largest group: newcomers and simpletons who don't do an ounce of googling or backtracking through the thread. These people are naive and clueless, just got a sniff of a hot new coin, and are coming ready to ask questions first and read later. This group is the target prey of strategies employed passively by group #1 and actively by group #2. This is what all of the posturing from daytraders listed in the first two groups - these people are the most important ones in the thread to everyone above. These people are the fodder to fuel volatility. The best part is, it doesn't matter that I'm saying this - cause none of them will read it once it's not the newest page! Cheesy

4) Fourth largest group: advertisers. Pool operators and promotion shills like that fucking spamming asshole from Atomic-Trade - just make a fucking image like everyone else don't act like "one of us" with your fucking referral link. These people don't really read threads so they're basically irrelevant.

5) Fifth largest group: the believers. I'm not even sure a single one of you posturing motherfuckers is in this group. I bet we're all daytrading scum trying to spin the market to our own devices. Nonetheless, this group is composed of people who actually support the overarching mission of MZC and aren't primarily concerned with price - they bought in at 14 and don't give a fuck about price, cause they are thinking about 2015 and beyond and what a beautiful revolution this could be. I consider myself 20% in this group because I plan on going long on 20% of my MZC holdings at worst, up to 50% if it gets traction.

Not Present: Whales and pure trolls. Whales don't give a fuck what us little guys think, because it doesn't matter. Everyone in this thread is essentially group #3 from the whale's perspective. Pure trolls would not come troll people about stupid cryptocurrency (pure trolling being just fucking with someone for the sake of a reaction, without any underlying motive). Nobody here is a pure troll. EVERYONE here has a motive.

The only logical conclusion: regardless of what anybody in this thread says, they all are here because they have money in the MZC market. Whether it's going in, or trying to get out, or just trying to stir up some shit to open up a margin - literally everyone that takes the time to post in this thread owns some MZC or wants to.

You hit the nail on the head, awesome post.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH I DIDNT REALIZE YOU COULD USE THE COIN TO BUY THINGS.. that changes everything.

Well, they say you learn something new everyday!  Roll Eyes

Quote from: joulesbeef
so getting dollars to the exchanges and then changing them to mazacoins and using the smart phone these poor people dont have to shop at a store that already takes dollars is easier than what?

They don't actually exchange dollars they have, to get Maza. They do transactions in Maza, get paid
with it, and buy stuff at local stores that accept it.

Keep their money in the community instead spending it with big US corps.

No one said it would be easy or straight forward, but the guy has an idea and trying to make a change
that helps his people.

A place here in the UK, Bristol have their own Bristol Pound. Stays within the city can be spent with local
independent shops, has both printed notes and traded electronically.

Money stays locally and not scooped up by big business and taken out of the city.

Hey i get that.. and we have had towns do the same in the us.

there are lots of currencies in the US actually.

The point is the IMPOVERISHED lakotas, dont actually have a full market that provides for all needs.
UNLIKE THE CITY IN UK YOU SPEAK OF.

The point is most lakotas are VERY POOR, unlike the city in the UK you speak of which has a wide range of incomes.

the point is  bristol coins are a joke.. they are tied one to one the pound and you can go to the local bank, hand them pounds and get back bristol pounds or hand them bristol pounds and get back pounds.

the point is the bristol coins dont have really much to do with anything with computers.. or mining.

yeah they dont need computers.. they can get paper wallets from someone with a computer.. even though paper wallets have their own issues.. they still need someone to want to mine these things. And are dependant on us traders for the value of their currency. And could have their entire economy destroyed by a major dumper. And since there is only about 100k of these folks.. with 55k living in reservations, destroying that economy wouldnt take much btc and you really could take advantage of that when dealing with the indians to steal theri land or what ever, by crashing teh currency before purchase.

I dont have any problem with the coin but people are dreaming and it isnt even a good dream yet. There is too many systemic flaws that have to be overcome that dont even seem to be looked at yet. And promises of lifting people out of poverty without a real explanation on how that is supposed to work.. just saying "they will keep the money in the community" doesnt really mean anything. There are plenty of impoverish nations with theri own currency. AND MOST OF THEM HAVE A BIGGER MARKET THAT PROVIDE FOR ALL NEEDS AND RESOURCES THEY ACTUALLY OWN AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF.

Every other coin that is out there other than Bitcoin (and possibly Litecoin) has absolutely no real utility.  So criticizing a new coin like MazaCoin that is hasn't figured out yet how it would work is ridiculous.  It is a coin that is a month old.  However, it has 1/3rd the hashrate of PPC.  That should tell you something.

How will it work for the Lakatas?  Only time will tell.  But we do know that they have (1) A casino that takes in 220 million a year.  (2) A precious metal mint.   So if Crypto-currencies is yet another way to revenue,  then there is a lot of potential here.

I dont have any problem with the coin but people are dreaming and it isnt even a good dream yet.

Your concerns are incredibly valid, and it is a monumental and daunting thing they are trying to accomplish - but revolutionary shifts from the status quo require big ideas and big risks. Perhaps some encouragement for your concerns would be to know that they are reaching out to other tribal communities in North America about joining, and reportedly have had some good response and interest in exploring that further - so it's entirely possible that this won't be just relegated to the Lakota, but expanded on a wider scale and adopted by many tribes.

I live in a region where 2 of the 6 Iroquois tribes live, and I can tell you they have economy and business, no doubt, and I'm personally in the process of finding out how I can work towards speaking to some connected business people and tribal representatives to educate them about MazaCoin and make sure they're aware of Payu Harris. I don't have a ton of clout in business, but I'm educated, well-spoken, and have friends in the communities, so I'm confidant I can plant the seed of curiosity in at least a few people who will listen.

one last thing before I call it a night, just saw this on twatter

Oglala Sioux is not Oglala Lakota. Different entities. #mazacoin Get it?

Is this true? It's a shame, all it takes is one balogne article to spread panic.

Put 2+2 together people, if the creator was out to con everyone why didn't he cash out the 50 million premine when it was hitting its highs other day?

EXCELLENT.

And for people who kept talking about how complicated it will be, you should READ my long convo with @AnonymousPirate about his plans HERE: http://pastebin.com/wvvNS7ra.

1) They will be working with multiple mints to create hard Mazacoins in 10, 50, 100 MZC, etc.
2) They will be giving classes about mining for FREE to the Lakota people.
3) They will be giving free ASIC miners to the Lakota people that complete the course under Payu's guidance.
4) They will be trying to install WIFI in all public places.
5) They will be looking to solve the smartphone issues.

I know these are all "WILL BEs", but I think Payu and AnonymousPirate have not been scared of revealing any of their plans or staying out of the limelight. They've been true on their word about the other details that have rolled out about the coin. Payu has no problem being an activist in public, either. I'd say the dude is pretty damn determined.

You build a coin first that holds great promise then you build the infrastructure around it. Just like how Bitcoin existed then the poor countries like Cyprus and now Argentine begin to figure out how to build infrastructure AROUND it. This is the EXACT SAME principle that Mazacoin will be working off but with the UNPRECEDENTED legal immunity to go ahead and do whatever it wishes unlike Bitcoin's political thrashing by backwards governments.

Strong support at .4100..., which has been the case for a couple days now.

IMO, it's a good time to get in for the next leg up.....

The panic selling has subsided and the dust has settled. It'll be interesting to see what happens the next couple days.

If I had to guess (which is pretty much what we're all doing), it'll be a slow trend upward. Which, quite honestly if you're long, is exactly what you want.

ok thats a fair argument. And is a issue in those communities. People have to carry or hide their entire wealth which is dangerous.

which is better than what I have been hearing  which is more  like "OMG THIS IS SO AWESOME, ITS GOING TO THE MOON, GOING TO MAKE ALL THESE INDIANS RICH"

why didnt they just make a paper currency?

I mean earlier. (i do get digital currency easier to develop and distribute than paper)

And REALLY long term.. I dont have a problem with the claims. Computers are getting cheaper. and maybe lakotas outside of the reservations will choose to invest back in the reservations due to this. dont know. the longer you project the more that anything can happen.

just most people in here are about the short term and medium term and not years down the road.

(and i have also always seen one of the benefits of BTC is that it ISNT Regional. My btc mined in american spends just as well in china without any hassles of exchanges and fees that come with that.... of course I am talking about places that accept BTC right now which is quite small. ANd being a huge coin it doesnt get pump and dumped which no economy wants.. they want stability. Which traders mostly hate, unless using it for long term savings.)
