A serious subject! (Theft of portfolios)
Airdrop Scam.
These days there is a promotion of some of the erydrobates of the coins and some are victims of registration and pay the bill that the loss of his portfolio.
briefly :
When you register Airdrop and you are asked to enter your wallet or insert the private-key or click on the wallet link to make sure you complete your registration in the Airdrop, cancel your work and know that there is a theft of your data. Some scammers create a site similar to Myetherwallet. Or add to the main site of the portfolio and then click on the link in the Adurdop, which will take you to your wallet here steal your data, especially the pre-emptive portfolio

Notice :

Do not open your wallet except through the official website of the portfolio
https://myetherwallet.com
Beware of e-mails that have an invitation to register in a website or e-mail.
For example, airdrop Scam is the same way to steal data and also sends an e-mail (invitation to register) which is now widespread these days and many have fallen victim to it

Please pay attention and caution
good luck for everbody.

It is because for them it is much easy to earn a profit in illegal way rather than working too hard just to earn legal...  For them it is too hard...  They didn't think that it is too unfair because we are all working here...  Hacking is everywhere that's why we need to be aware everyday...  We need to be careful and wise because if not our efforts and work will be go in vain...

this should be basic sense for people who understand how wallets work , but sadly most of airdrop users are people who are new to crypto in general and looking to make something to start with for free
hope that every site or telegram channel that spreads airdrops make this info pinned for new users in case these users wanted to join another airdrop that isn't listed by that source

intelligence that is misused, they should be able to find more useful work without having to harm others.
I have experienced problems with hackers several times, they really need to be alerted.

This will not happen if people will just educate themselves and refrain from giving their private key to anyone even companies it's a big no-no here in cryptocurrency it's like handling everything you had, this is not paypal where you can still recover your funds with the help of the third party.

Be careful with all the airdrops that need to provide a link to your wallet. It is definitely a scam to take money in your wallet.

We all have to aware of the Hackers. Not enter your private of your wallet in any wrong website or anywhere if any hacker find out your private key or password then you will do nothing and they fly with your coins or in other wards fly with your investment and you can do nothing because you can do nothing.

I've experience some Airdrop that attempts to hack each airdrop participants, they have a phishing site that has a link like myetherwallet but if you will check the link properly its not .com but other domain. They are asking to sign a message for that address but i immediately leave that site because i know that there is something fishy on the site. Be careful everyone you will never know each hackers tactics to scam or hack people for their own benefits.

Thanks for this Information. It's a great help for us to be more cautious and don't engage in something which is too good to be true. Someday, these hackers will reap what they sow.maybe not today, but someday.

The other negative thing that mostly goes unnoticed, is how people willingly sacrifice their real identity, when they link their email address to their wallet. Once these hackers gets hold of the email address, they know a Crypto currency user is linked to that address and they can start to focus their attention on that specific user. <sending spoof links and malicious scripts to that email address>

People are willingly giving hackers a database of Crypto currency users, when they participate in these airdrops.  Roll Eyes

Yea, there are many hackers around us. We must be careful when we opened our online wallet because it can be a phishing website that we login into. Always check the security of the website, bookmark the original one because hackers always spread the phishing website to attend our private keys or password. Be careful guys.

It's nature of this filed. there may be hackers are everywhere. I feel like we must secure our wallets and private key to don't give anyone. sometime some airdrops and bounty program ask our private key when ask like that if we provide that key whether know or don't know. Our all coins and tokens will be missing as soon as possible. if you stay and work this filed you must keep your keys and secure world better place for store.
