Hey, I'd like to give my thanks to the Einsteinium team for creating a coin that gives us a purpose built decentralized way of funding our favorite innovations. Maybe in the future kickstarter or similar platforms will allow people to back projects up with EMC2, or even better, The Einsteinium Foundation could built a crowd funding platform specifically for it's currency!

About the p2pool, what's the minimum hashrate required to even generate pays there? Right now I'm mining with my laptop GPU (measly 35khash/s) on pools where I get around 10emc2 per day, so I'm curious if a p2pool would be better for such a low hashrate.

Thanks and let's hope EMC2 will lead us all into new age of scientific Enlightenment!

Hey there DoiX.

That idea of The Einsteinium Foundation's own crowd funding platform is one of the best ideas I have heard so far. I plan on bringing that idea to the team and I expect there will be overwhelming support.

Deabrause has more info regarding the P2P pool, I have nver ran one or been part of one before so my knowledge is not great.

Please post an EMC2 address, I'm feeling generous.  Wink

Greetings, fellow Einsteinians. I learned about this most intriguing and innovative coin just today, and I would love to count myself as an Einsteinium holder. I have no rig, however, so my only option is to exchange for coin. I would like to acquire 1 BTC worth of Einsteinium. If anyone would be so kind as to trade with me, I would be most grateful. Please PM if you're interested. Smiley

You can always use allcoin.com (that's who I'm using now) to buy some if you want. If you'd rather not than I may be able to help you but you'll have to send first.

Yep, what Bobsurplus said. I've been buying from there too, without any problems.

I really like this coin. Successful and fair launch. There`s enough coins that anyone who loves science and wants to support the coin can buy a couple of thousand EMC2 without risking anything more than the price of a couple of coffees. This helps encourage new people into the crypto community who like science but are dubious of what they hear about cryptocurrencies in the media.

Currently whenever someone buys something online they use a credit card, and the merchant has to pay a 2.5% fee to increase the profits of the card issuing company. Is there any system being looked at where charitable coins such as this one can be used for online purchases and a small percentage of that payment (say 1%) goes to the science fund. Hobby shops that are popular with science geeks may be happy to support this initiative as they still pay less commission than when someone pays by credit card, but they also get the novelty appeal support of doing so.

Would be happy to donate a little bit of coin towards a http://www.coincollage.com/ advert if other people want to join in. It's an interesting concept that is only a few days old but is gaining interest as a place for newbies to look at all the coins on offer. And Einsteinium is such a great graphically appealing coin that it is well suited to this kind of advert with a one off fee.

I live in Japan so would be happy to help volunteer with a proof reading of any Japanese translated website text.

Hello, Have you guys seen the power of ocean waves project?  The sound of the video is bad but is very promising from what I have seen for renewable energy, please give it a try and express your thoughts.  Maybe we can really change the world with EMC2, I am going to try to build a miniature one to test it is really simple and most parts you can get them at a hardware shop.

I have just finished a simple tip system for twitter users. I have been wanting to do this for a while but was lacking time. The system allows you to deposit, check balance, tip other twitter users or direct addresses and withdraw your funds to any address. I have more plans for the future but this is a good start.

I am looking for some users to test the system for me. Send me your twitter username and I will send you some coins. Please run some tests and see how it works for you. Try to tip some other friends etc.

Commands
@EMC2tip deposit = Will tweet a deposit address
@EMC2tip tip @friend 0.002 = Will send a 0.002 tip to @friend This will tweet the transaction id
@EMC2tip balance = Will tweet your balance
@EMC2tip withdraw 100 EJFaBBjSvs4yYG1a8t9M3jMJoUJCow98xi = Will send 100 coins to EJFaBBjSvs4yYG1a8t9M3jMJoUJCow98xi This will tweet the transaction id along with the amount

If the system works well enough it will allow us to tweet funds to scientist on twitter to make them aware of the new coin.

I like the last part of what you said. Tipping it to scientists on twitter would be awesome. I'm sure they would look favorably upon the coin.

One thing though...is it possible to switch the name to something like @EMC2tipbot or if that is too long @EMC2bot?

Also, i don't have a twitter. I will make one tmrw to help test it out.

good call on the name. i changed it to EMC2tip
