And you are using connect=71.4.209.204?
yes

Hmmm, what I can do is host the blockchain up until like the 250,000 block on a zip file.

Blockchain up until about block 250,000: http://galaxypool.chriskoeber.com/galaxycoinblockchain.zip

Close your GalaxyCoin client.

Then unzip the contents in your %appdata%\Galaxycoin directory.

Then reopen the NEW client.

I'll give it a try in a moment using the old windows wallet and setting the .conf to connect to 71.4.209.204, who knows it might work Smiley

You have to use the new client!

The old client will load the blocks but it won't be on the new fork, etc.

You might even mess up any balance on your old wallet.

You have been warned!

When you update the original post I would just use addnode=71.4.209.204 (or other known 2.0 nodes) and a link to the blockchain file to help people sync.

Well that's obvious, but I posted that message before the new windows client was uploaded Smiley

As long as you didn't actually use the old client yet then cool.

Once you get the new client set up (and backup your wallet.dat) then try my blockchain download (about 150 MB) with the instructions I posted and let everyone know how it goes.

On my pool I see a lot of people connecting with old clients.

You need to update or you'll be sorry ...

Not yet.. Overnight my computer restarted to "install updates", thanks windows..

Well, looks like you need to contact the exchanges and coinwars today Smiley

For the time being you should modify the addnodes on the original post to only use my node for now.
I am still having issues with the galaxycoind that gets stuck on block 18924, I already deleted everything and started a clean blockchain download using connect=your ip address in the .conf to avoid getting other nodes, any ideas ?

I have the same issue with the new windows client. When I try the blockchain download, I receive
"A fatal error occured. Galaxycoin can no longer continue safely and will quit.
EXCEPTION: St13runtime_error
CDB() : can't open database file blkindex.dat, error 22"

followed by "galaxycoin-qt.exe in Runaway exception."

Maybe that was my fault; try the download link for my Blockchain download again; I reuploaded it...

Then follow the steps as previously given before.

Unfortunately all attempts fail so far, when trying to use the downloaded blockchain it throws the above mentioned error, als redownloaded it and the same happens, on a clean install of the windows client it also stops at block 18924, exactly the same problem as the linux galaxycoind......

I will try this myself on a separate computer and see how it goes.

From there I will see what instructions need to be added or changed.

FYI--I also just tried after a full Windows 8.1 system reboot to the same error.
Run As Adminstrator also didn't help.

I am doing a sync right now; I will attempt to replicate the issues you are having and then go from there.

We will be able to get around this problem; I will be posting a clean blockchain shortly which will allow you to sync the client(s).

Also, I will take my pool offline in about 15 minutes to sync up the blockchains.

That way I can be sure the blockchain I have as well as the one the pool has will be in sync.

Of course, the wallet.dat will be backed up during this process.
