Cryptsy can absorb all of the coins that are mined. It has buy orders for 53 million at 0.00000001. Plus lots of buy orders still at higher prices.

The problem is that deposits to shitsy are not going through. My last deposit just celebrated one month since its birthday. I have been quite polite for a long time not to post on many problems with this exchange I had in past few months but it is out of any reasonable bounds now.

deposits work just fine from my pool:

www.xpool.ca

Your last deposit was probably on a forked chain or something...

No, the chain is correct since cryptsy saw incoming deposit, has report over 1000 confirmations but still not redeem it to account.

Indeed, it was a cryptsy wallet issue but there is a simple solution - generate a new GLX deposit address on cryptsy and all transactions to the new address were processed smoothly today.

I don't care if it is a wallet issue or whatever else. I want my 56k GLX to be credited to my account. It is shown in list of pending depo, I created a ticket while ago and bumped it a few times: no simple answer, not speaking of excuses. This is not professional.

I have the same problem with earlier deposits. Changing cryptsy deposit address solves issue but ald transactions still stuck.

Confirm. Old transactions have been deposited and new one is passed to Cryptsy smoothly right now.

Great work!

No:

Code:
Date Type	DepositAddress Amount Confirmations
2014-05-21 08:45:30 GLX giNMJkKbSdK2Tbp3uE2RDXYGBae3UTuKDg 56488.37500000 1588

Hmm, when we thought we had it all figured out.  Undecided

SolidStateSurvivor,
Did you 5/21 transfer go through yet? I have a few on 6/1 past 42k confirms now still in pending with no recent updates to my ticket by Cryptsy. (I wonder if they might be working on other tickets with larger confirm amounts such as another of mine with a different coin now over 100k confirms and not yet showing in pending.)

Yes, it did, but that one above is not mine, I just did a test with 100 or 5. It seems you guys have a lot (100-250K-ish) stuck in transit. :-/

My wallets spin the CPU at 100% all the time and are very slow to respond to any RPC commands. One has developed

My wallets spin the CPU at 100% all the time and are very slow to respond to any RPC commands.

This is a feature due to POS nature of Galaxycoin.

You could disable POS mining with command in wallet's console:

Code:
reservebalance true 9999999

POS is very unsufficient in GLX and only consumes CPU power but in case you will need to switch POS on in any time use this command:

Code:
reservebalance false

Figured that out, thanks Ivanech!
It just took more time to cool down, this is why I did not notice it in my previous attempts.

It also turned out I have over 4000 private keys in my wallet, all but one with zero amounts. What created this?

And the sync checkpoint, someone just needs to run the checkpointing node... By the way, if it runs, the network will be much more stable!

Why the need for over 500 million coins?  Too many coins out (and about to get much worse) now to sustain that much inflation and dilution.

Notice many coins are now seriously cutting the max coins cap and the inflation (mining subsidy) and showing Very good results and optimism by investors and the community as well.  It's exactly like corporations doing stock buy-backs the value of everyone's stake goes up equally.

Are the devs here considering such an update before there's too much inflation and dilution to recover from?

Indeed, it was a cryptsy wallet issue but there is a simple solution - generate a new GLX deposit address on cryptsy and all transactions to the new address were processed smoothly today.

I wish I'd re-read the last part of this thread first - I sent a small test tx first, then the full balance once I saw it present and confirming.

I sent GLX to the old/existing address, so of course 562 confirms later it is still stuck and not credited. Sad

edit: FWIW, after a bit of back and forth with first level support the ticket I opened only 90 mins ago has been escalated. Credit where credit is due.

edit 2: perhaps I should revise my praise slightly. Initial response was swift, but 5 days later I'm still waiting for the "technical specialists" to action my deposit.

I wish.

After about 1.5 months and 60,000 to 70,000 confirmations for my sets of transfers, my coin disappeared from Pending right after I confirmed their independent inquiry that the problem still existed.  They still haven't shown up anywhere.  The last transfer currently shows almost 70,000 as well now.  (I suppose it would be less painful to just hear that the GLX was stolen, rather than see it dragged out this long.)  Looks like around 100 satoshi per GLX back at the time of transfer and now 23.

the same story here. The deposit of 35k that I done in last days of May just disappeared. Neither excuses nor explanations.
