It's not that the signals are given at the wrong time, it's that the pump groups are scams. They are essentially ponzi schemes disguised as a pump group. The way they work is the heads of the pump groups find a coin to pump, then they load up on the coins, and they find others to help pump the coin. These people that join the pump group think they are going to profit, so they all help pump the coin. While the coin is pumping, the heads of the pump group dump the coin on the unsuspecting buyers, so they are the ones that take losses. Pump groups are scams and only the head of the pump groups profit, because you are the one pumping the coin for them to dump.

Before announcing the coin to be pumped, the admins of such channels already have their bags loaded waiting to be dumped on unsuspecting people.
