There was a time in crypto when as soon as a coin hit the exchanges there would be a massive bull run with hype -- but that was at a time when new ideas were few and far between. Now it seems everyone wants to have an ICO. 3 ICO's are released every day, and I expect that number is even higher by now. The idea is to invest in a project and learn to hold your stead.

The projects I've invested in over the last two years I've had Iron Clad hands because in almost every ICO the price has plummeted. It's no a bad thing, it's just the way it is. Lots of people cash out early. A good project will make ground anyway / eventually.

A good trick is to think of every investment as money you don't have anymore. It's not an investment if you need the money for bills.

I invested and joined as bounty hunter in many ICO which has good concept, experienced team members and also good hype but after listing price drops very much. Some of project also not recovering since long time. Any comment.
don't be surprised, 85% of holders will definitely sell their coins when the list is exchanged, this behavior is very difficult to change. I strongly agree with what many developers have done a few months ago where they made a long time to list their coins on the exchange, to prevent selling quickly (Hit and Run).

This scenario is already not new especially to tokens without any solid foundation to start with. Most of them are for quick cash. Even legit projects are not free from this kind of situation. Maybe, one thing they can do is provide a working app before they list it in an exchange and have a use case that is very attractive to users. In that case, they will think twice to sell their tokens at dirty cheap prices.

all that goes back to the holders in making a decision and there are other reasons that make them sell it directly, although many sell it immediately when the token is listed in the exchange but I prefer to keep hold for the next few months until the price rises higher than ICO price.

That often happens and all projects must experience this. Many investors sell their tokens when listing. With a little profit, according to them, they are very good. But here all have the right to sell or hold their coins. So the project team must be prepared to keep prices for their projects.

There are several reasons surrounding the drop in ICO price of a coin after listing on the market. In general, the market has been bearish for a while which makes most of the coins experience a general drop in price. Also, there are individual reasons for each coin to drop. The drop in price might be that investors begin to sell off immediately the coin gets listed because they stop believing in the project due to poor team work or marketing, no or undeveloped product etc.

The decline in crypto prices is currently present in all crypto, not just coins or tokens that have just been launched in the market. The market situation is indeed not good but in 2019 it will look optimistic that it will rise

It is normal that it has dropped in price, because we are in a phase of accumulation where everything has been going down, from cryptocurrencies to tokens, but if you have already invested, it is best to wait until the market changes to a bullish trend.

And wait as long as necessary until the project currency or token takes value again, because if you sell at this time is not advisable, it would be a total loss of funds and time.

1) The ICO may or may not have been anything from vaporware. With nothing to build upon the price will inevitably tank.
2) After fund distribution there will always be a drop in price especially if there was a large bounty program run. People will dump and take their profit.

Already many ICO is listed on the Exchange and the price immediately goes down. But if the ICO has a strong team, I think the ICO price will rise again. As I experienced, I sell ICO coins at low prices. But after a few weeks, the price of ICO coins rose very high.

yes, this is the usual thing, the price will drop dramatically when already listing. one of the causes is the volume of sell orders is very large, while the volume of buy orders is still very small.

Well i think this is really normal, i believe that there are so many investors who invest on ICO with a 30% to 50% fiscount will sell thier coin emediately, because if the investors will get a token with 30% to 50% discount this is really a great profit for them they can also get 50% profit from thier investment that was really great. But sad to say that the people will put the blame into bounty hunters if the price of token goes down who only have 2% to 3% of token allocation very sad i guess.

The main reason of the drop of prices in ico after the listing is due to the high demand of the ico coin and high expectations of the coin price growth so it automatically prices go down . If the ico coin putb restrictions on dumping of coin in exchangers then they can control the price to some extent

With the current market situation, I think the trend will be reversed especially for good projects, part of what caused a lot of prices to drop was because a lot of those projects were over priced at with relative to the prevailing market condition, price of ICO relative to bull market should not be same during bears. So prices dump to what it is assumed should be real ICO price at that condition, right now it it appears the market is stable, a lot of good projects will survive

The ICO market still maintains this trend.  However, it is impossible to say the same about IEO, since after it everything usually happens the other way around, and the investor has time to make money.

ICO seems to have died and investors have no interest in it anymore. when the community is no longer interested in ICO projects -> there will be no FOMO -> Dev will not be able to push the price high.
so you should not invest in ICO anymore. Try investing in IEO projects, it is the current trend and is bringing a lot of profits for investors.

In my opinion, it is not only about the expectations and faced reality. After getting listed on the exchanges, the token price goes down for reasons like a dump by bounty hunters, huge sell pressure by private sale investors.
We can think that bounty hunters have an impact on the price drop. But there are tens of ICOs that can not keep its ICO price, even if there are no bounty rewards. I do not think that if changes are made about bounty, there will be major changes. Changes in market prices are another reason why the ICO prices are hard to keep.

I think ico price drop after listing because it all about speculation. People don't invest in projects in long term period, they want easy and quick money, here and now. And if after listing token price don't begin rise immediately they sell everything to invest in something else, so token price drop to bottom.
