I feel sorry for people that give up so quickly.. You can't be succesful in life if you fall for every negative information you hear and not even think this through and analize from all different aspects. Seems like big money are not for everyone.

In a trading perspective, "panic selling" isn't always a bad thing to be honest. It just completely depends on what price point did they sell the coins.

We peaked at $7380 in the past few days. When the prices were once again dropping, I'm pretty sure a certain number of people "panic sold" at around $7000 because they might have anticipated that the prices will drop more; and here we are today at $6400. They could've sold their coins at $7300 and bought back at the current price. In the end, they end up with more BTC than they used to. Panic selling isn't completely bad(but probably mostly is). It just depends on the circumstances.

No need to get nervous, too many noobs still holding bitcoin, these must be shed before we can go into new all time highs. There's still massive amounts of people that bought during last bubble because they heard it in the news and FOMO'd hard, none of these have a fucking clue of the fundamentals of bitcoin and what bitcoin means, so these will be selling every time some whale triggers a big candle, so all these noobs act as a feedback loop and make the whale dumping even harder.

Once only people that understand the fundamentals are left, we'll be going up again. TPTB will not let bitcoin grow until all noobs are demoralized into hating bitcoin and selling.

It's bad if someone sells with a loss because he lost all hope, but we shouldn't judge everyone. Sometimes people need their money from crypto asap, different situations happen to all of us everyday.

Selling at a loss isn't always bad. If you sell at a loss and buy back at a good price point, then you have higher chances of winning. Selling all your holdings thinking "bitcoin is dead" just because the price crashed is another story though.

yep that's right, you might like to play fast by looking for small profits but it can be sustainable, I like that game because it's very tense and profits can be obtained quickly, panic is selling fast but there is still profit it's smart action

The happiness of some is the misfortune of others. It's well known. It is unfortunate, however, to know that people are making money on the backs of poor people. I hope that all this will change and that we will all have the same luck.

Panic sellers are not lazy, they are only expressing their emotions. Truth is that everyone of us has fear, but the difference is that some have been able to master their fear and positively use it. In a real economy, to get high volatility leading to profit and loss case, then we must have the panic sellers otherwise, trading would be boring.

Usually, people who panic are the ones who are not used to manage funds/investments in real life and/or don't know in what they "invested"
They heard about how Bitcoin is the best "investment", they jumped in and spend some money but started to study after.
For some, it can be hard to manage a huge amount of money if they're not used to.

panic selling is done by investors and novice traders. because currently the market is controlled by beginners, more precisely most are beginners in bitcoin. the whales make small vibrations, and beginners make themselves out. be for true bitcoin holders. they will like this. because prices make an opportunity to re-collect bitcoin.

So in the end it becomes more like a ponzi scheme, where the person who exits last suffers the most? It is like the seller that sold at the last moment ended up being the victim. And if you are saying the sellers end up buying more btc at lower price, then they actually aren't "panic" sellers. They are more like the pumpers and dumpers.

When did I say that? I never said that long-term holding was a bad strategy, because it definitely is a good strategy. That should be pretty obvious just by looking at the overall charts of bitcoin.

And if you are saying the sellers end up buying more btc at lower price, then they actually aren't "panic" sellers. They are more like the pumpers and dumpers.
Like I said, it completely depends on the circumstances. Also, if you buy high and selling low, you're a pump and dumper? Do you even know what a "trader" is?

You're making up assumptions based on the things I said. What I was just trying to say is that panic selling is not bad 100% of the time. You're missing the point here.

So you are like happy when someone is taking the gutter when they see their profit go to waste and not sharing to them that what they are doing are taking a precious bit of value from a certain coin, This is sure a profit for you and for everyone else that are getting profit from panic sellers, But it is also not healthy for the market if a certain someone is selling their coins with a low value, I really think we should consult them and help them get back to their knees, Well these people would surely experience something bad like that while investing with bitcoin they will really think that it is really a scam and would tell others about them, It is not their fault for not having the knowledge in profit with cryptocurrency.

Most of those people that easily get hurt by the new's even it is true or not are the one's who dont know how to read or lazy, but in the other way we need those kind of people who are willing to take their loss and give profit to us. Cheers!  Smiley

And if you are saying the sellers end up buying more btc at lower price, then they actually aren't "panic" sellers. They are more like the pumpers and dumpers.

a ponzi is where the unit of measure has no function. and is just used as a "store of value"
and where there is no cost to creating it.
in short the PoS crapcoins that dont do anything are ponzi.

but bitcoin 2009-2013 had both a cost of creation (PoW mining) and had the best utility..
but now those that are developing bitcoin core roadmaps and paid by corporate investment (most know their names by now, even if they dont wanna admit they know) are saying that the bitcoin core network has no utility ("it cand scale, yo cant buy coffee, etc etc") thus trying to undermine the utility of the network. and push people onto other networks.
EG, lock btc into LN factories (golds fortknox) and then route to your channel(account) that credits you with value. that you can then credit back when you spend it. if you want to close and still have credit. you will just close channel and the balance goes back to the factory on the LN network and reopening a new channel on the network. (yep thats their latst 2018 concept).. anyone smell how similar that sounds like the dumb crap that happened a century ago with banking/gold

and yes FIAT is a big ponzi.. hyperinflation proves it (research: zimbabwe dollar)

they are also proposing to change from PoW to PoS...
thus effectively removing utility(trying to move function off network) and backing of value(removing mining)... thus they are trying to make bitcoin become a ponzi.. and thats what we need to fight against

now with all that said. im holding btc and hav done since 2012 and have not paniced or set a exit price.
but im dfintly fighting against those that want to restrict bitcoin network utility and as long as we stick with PoW that value of bitcoin will grow (imagine if bitcoin went from a mining cost of $6k-$7k down to a penny cost of PoS... the value would tank)
so yea lets kep bitcoin functional(onchain use) adoptable(cheap fees) and backed(by mining).. then value will go up

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

People go here and there spooling, spreading and propagating FUD to get on peoples emotions and to put them on PANIC MODE just so they sell their BTC, and you know what, PANIC SELLERS in these industry are LAZY, they can't and won't research and understand after lots of rise and fall in these year that the KING of all digital currencies is just going through a phase.

I personally Love PANIC SELLERS, and I hope there can be a section on these platform where they register so that people like me can contact them to buy CHEAP from they..

GRACIAS PANIC SELLERS, MUCH LOVE TO ALL OF YOU OUT THERE BLESSING FUTURE MILLIONAIRES WITH YOUR COIN
with this again is a proof that bitcoin will never fade like every panic sellers believe. Some were really doubtful about the day that the bitcoin price will rise again, i've seen so many threads about it they were so hopeless about bitcoin. Some are already convincing others that bitcoin will soon be unvalued.

Very nice; you are like a lion wondering in search of dears or some other animals which are running here and there to save their lives and lions still catch any of those fearing dears.

But the time of panic selling is very important.  There were several people who loved panic sellers at 19k 18k 17k 15k or even 11-12k.  But they also lost a lot of amount because presently the price is around 6.5k.

May be there were traders at those heights who bought at 3-4-5 k and sold at such high levels. Then it is to be decided who became the prey those dears or the lion.  Grin

I think the best time of buying is running presently.  When there is calm silence all around the markets.  There are no buyers.  If we buy presently with long term investment strategy; it will be yielding much better results.

Wishing all the best to all

We all know that panic selling is not good to investment because it can creat trouble of price deflation in the market. And also losing the amount of profits and the capitals. We have to give an advice to those weak investor's to focus their investment and do not attempt to panic. We have to teach them a strategy so that they can realize their wrong actions.

The best time to buy is that when someone is panicking about the sudden drop of the price. But it is very difficult now to find that since everyone is so careful and they just don't panic on what's happening. They know that it is normal so they tend to do is wait and buy also from the panic sellers.
