Base difficulty just reset to very low level.  I just fired up my GPU solo miner. Another boom for USB ASIC and GPU solo miners

Just several minutes of mining on GPU solo mining setup, 23 NENG blocks mined:

Mining report on last diff reset from discord
Here is discord msg on my mining results on reset yesterday for total counts:

honglu69Today at 12:33 AM
got my mining counts on last one day of reset: USB ASIC moonlander2, 7 million NENG, GPU solo (GTX 1050) 3 million NENG

1 CPU old linux 60k NENG, 4 core android 20k NENG. Casual mining, just 4 hours, 1 block in immature

My android is down a lot, almost nothing. 1 CPU linux 60000 NENG was still good. My android used to be able to mine 3x more than 1 CPU, now is less. Not sure why

24 hours mining report

USB ASIC moonlander2 200k NENG, 4 core Android (8 cpu in UserLand Debian) : 180k NENG, 1 cpu old linux 40k NENG

Casual windows 10 mining for several hours (virutalbox + Linux ) 20k NENG

My android mining is back to close to USB ASIC number, more than 4x my 1 cpu old linux. I used --interval 10 --cpu 6 . interval 10 is the way to go. My hypothesis of slow cpu on android was right. Android can not handle fast interval because of weak cpu speed.

Cheetah CPU Mining in Windows10 Virutalbox + Linux - Bridged Networking

To install ssh server, in both Userland app linux, or virualtalbox linux desktop in windows 10, simple on linux terminal:

Code:
sudo apt install ssh

Bridged networking Linux in Virtualbox can do so much more acting as scp/ssh server. With either virtualbox linux or UserLand app linux acting as ssh/scp server, you can tar ball NENG wallet files, copy back and forth between two linux easily to save your syncing time in case you want delete all UserLand app files, and re-install. Or you want to do routine wallet back up, copy and back forth.

I recommend all windows 10 users who want to install a linux desktop in Virtualbox, try to make "Bridged adaptor" mode working, try not use "NAT".

It is OK to start out as "NAT" for virtualbox + linux desktop. But you should try to shut down linux, then change from "NAT" mode networking to "Bridged adaptor" mode networking, then reboot linux.

"NAT" mode works well acting as client. But tough or almost useless for a linux server.

A Spike block was mined, at block number 2093118 :

https://quanticoin.quantic.best/explorer/NENG?height=2093118

This spike block difficulty will serve as base diff until next reset.  Now Cheetah CPU miners will dominate mining close to 100% until reset.

Alert for all GPU solo miners

Because spike block was mined.  It is most likely that NENG blockchain will reset to almost zero diff one day from now.  Tomorrow is likely to be the time that your GPU can solo mine NENG for millions within one day!

Explanation on "Spike" Concept, 51% Attack Security Protection

Spike block mined at at 244,000 difficulty https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/516702014160502814/773772918123528242/spike_diff.gif?width=1440&height=483

Screen shot Picture from explorer: https://quanticoin.quantic.best/explorer/NENG

Just want to make sure NENG miners understand this concept of "spike". See above chart, between 14:00 to 15:00 at bottom of chart, there was a big spike, a needle pointing toward sky. Difficulty at 244,000. This difficulty was higher than DigiByte scrypt difficulty now. Now DigiByte has market cap of 265 million USD while NENG has $21,000 USD market cap. Now if 51% attacker can not double spend attack DigiByte, he/she can not attack NENG either because we have same difficulty as DigiByte now for ASIC rigs.

When spike block is mined, a 51% attack security mechanism triggered, All GPU/ASIC can mine is at this 244,000 difficulty. Either mine or walkaway. Currently there is no known loop hole or known method otherwise. Now for CPU miners on Cheetah_Cpuminer, CPU solo miners can continue to mine at diff = 0.000244

I am pretty sure there are GPU or ASIC miners around the world will try to mine at 0.000244. But NENG has this for almost two years, no known method so far. Only CPU miners on Cheetah_Cpuminer software can mine at difficulty = 0.000244.

I hope my screenshot from Quantic explorer and the explanation above on "spike", Cheetah_Cpuminer will make sense for new members. This method randomSpike is discovered by NewEnglandcoin (NENG) dev team, by me 1st time in the world. In other word, this was not known until we discovered it and implemented into NENG.

My final GPU solo mining tally on Reset

My final GPU solo mining tally, 6 hours of mining on Nvidia GTX 1050, 190 blocks on ccminer, the actual earned NENG was 2.62 million NENG in wallet. Many were orphaned, so that not truly 190 blocks. 2.62 million NENG on 6 hours mining on an old GPU.

I have shut down my GPU. My GPU will come back to NENG on next reset day.

Was just looking at one of my solo miners and saw that.
Congratulations on this. It's nice to see a developer keeping up with the coin and making sure it stays around and active.
Will keep mining away.

Final Tally for Nvidia GTX 1050 on reset today
Nov 7, 2020 rest GPU solo mining report

4 and half hours into GPU solo mining on GTX 1050. 191 blocks mined. On wallet, excluding orphaned blocks, about 1.37 million NENG on GPU for less than 5 hours mining. Worth about 343 DOGE on current NENG trading price. 343 DOGE is about $0.92 USD. Less than 5 hours of GPU mining NENG with slightly less than 1 USD dollar reward.

Base diff is at 0.02. This is not profitable for my GPU. I am shutting down my GPU GTX 1050 for today reset. This is about 4 and half hours of mining. My GPU will be back on NENG solo mining on next reset.

Total counting: 1.37 million NENG in 4 and half hours of solo mining NENG on GPU. This reward is half of what used to be mainly because of NENG halfening. Block reward is only half of what used to be. The actual block mined on my GPU GTX 1050 Nvidia card is very solid
