I run 580 and 470 cards with 900 mv only. Core 1167 and mem 2000
BTW for Lyra2Z you can keep memory with lower values because algo don't use memory only GPU core

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

well it all depends on how much W can your cards get. for example i have rx 570 where is limit 117W and despite i set anything, 900+mV it all the time hit the wall 117W and start lowering Mhz. so in this case maximum for me is 2,7xx for lyra2z (havent tried phi2). however when my card has higher W limit, im able to reach 3,1xxMhz with rx570.

Which card model have lyra2z 3.1 Mhz/s hashrate  ? I have RX 570 4Gb,  Sapphire, Aorus, Expression, KFX all max = 2.85

I try install HiveOS, Make Gin wallet, connect to pool my 5x RX 570, and BOOM in my  750W ATX Supply...   Shocked Shocked
I change Supply, disconect 2 GPU , restart lyra2z GIN, on the wall 580W with 3 GPU..... i must change in settings core V to 950mV, then is 400W with 3 GPU....
I dont know how is this possible.... all GPU have bios with 950mV core..... be careful with HIVEOS and lyra2Z...

PHI2 have 4.3 Mhz - RX 570 4Gb, ( PC, 3X GPU = 410W in the wall )

Just in case you haven't realised, there's a new software that's being distributed by the user @svedr, (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5039398.0) it works for AMD as well, and is 20% faster, which means your RX 570 can hit 3.1 MH/s with your own software. if you forgot that you wrote it (or at least the thread that you started), it's build version is 0.01

I believe it is running very similar code to this MountainMiner which you tried probably 2 weeks ago.

(hint: you might got your account hijacked and your hijacker is using the same credentials as you are now still....)

Back on topic, you are using 5xx RX 570 with a 750W PSU.....that's brave and kaBOOM is well...at least lucky nobody was hurt.

Does this miner work on windows? I have no idea how to start it or setup. I have wallet and pool though. Any help would be appreciated.

We’re working on a win version as well as supporting Vega cards under amdgpu-pro. Most probably released within 1-2 days.

New version v0.3.2 posted!

This version adds support for windows and the linux amdgpu-pro/PAL drivers for Vega!
Unfortunately we had to temporarily remove ROCm support to get this release out in a timely manner.  We will be adding ROCm support back in the future.

There are no new features other than supporting new platforms/drivers, so existing users do not need to update if they're already happy with their setups.

Hi, first of all, thanks for WIN version.

I am trying to run miner with custom settings "D" because otherwise i get error during startup due to integrated GPU at position 0..therefore i tried with "-d 1,2,3,4,5,6" but so far is not working.

>           Team Red Miner version 0.3.2
> [2018-09-30 11:39:44] Failed to initialize device number 0. #d0 in this case only to show up the error, this device is not used for mining
> [2018-09-30 11:39:44] Device number ## is out of range.

FIXED: With "--platform=1 -d 0,1,2,3,4,5"

Setup: Adrenaline 18.4.1/Win10 1803.

Hashrate: Rigs are all properly set up to be stable and have lower possible power draw(rougly clck 1170Mhz/2100Mhz). 6GPU rigs
Vega56 - On GRAFT(MoneroV7) doing cca 11,1KHs on Lyra2Z cca 35,2Mhs
RX570 4G - On GRAFT(MoneroV7) doing cca 5,32KHs on Lyra2Z cca 15,1Mhs
RX580 4G - On GRAFT(MoneroV7) doing cca 5,35KHs on Lyra2Z cca ???Mhs  - This one little b* is not willing to cooperate (still runs old setup) but i guess the results will be very similar to RX 570 4GB - Will try 580 8G later next week or so)

Thanks a lot for that!

And I was wondering what killed Lyra2z profitability lately...

So it was this release all along. Now all the ETH miners are getting in. Time to sell the rigs.
If only you were never to release for Windows.

Thanks for nothing, I guess.

Oh anyway...

tdxminer was available for few months at least, it used to be very profitable to mine it with GPUs, but the algo is now ridden with FPGAs.

He meant a release for Windows. Noobies could not use it while it was Linux only Smiley
But profitability was destroyed a while ago and I doubt it was FPGA, although they are on the networks.
But they were on a long time ago. The market killed it and slow adoption by the users.

Oh anyway... this miner is not the reason you are seeing reduced profits. Blame private FPGAs ... oh and anway, public ones are almost in hand too
This has nothing to do with the windows release as its barely a few hours old

@teamred devs
thanks alot for this, very excited to see what other alogs you are working on? mind giving us a hint? possibly X16r and X17?
once again, thank you for bringing some agility to our AMD cards!

Don't think we've tested on that driver version. Can you run "clinfo" from a command prompt, it will dump all opencl platforms and devices on your box. Then, scroll up and locate the section for a Vega 56 that looks like this (might be one at the very bottom of the output):

Quote
  Platform ID:                                   00007FF8044C4AB0
  Name:                                           gfx900
  Vendor:                                         Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
  Device OpenCL C version:               OpenCL C 2.0
  Driver version:                               2527.10 (PAL,HSAIL)
  Profile:                                          FULL_PROFILE
  Version:                                        OpenCL 2.0 AMD-APP (2527.10)

Before asking you to dump the whole thing here, can you tell me if you see the string "gfx900" or something else for the name?

I see (for amdgpu-pro-18.30-641594):
Quote

  Name:                   gfx900

Team Red Miner version 0.3.2

@pnixx

Do you have an integrated graphics on the host? If so, you might have multiple opencl platforms available and your AMD GPUs are rather on platform 1. The nr of platforms is shown at the beginning of the opencl output. You can also check Makreliak's post a few posts above this for the best solution, i.e. specifying the platform and device(s) manually.

We need to add a better device scan to the miner, right now it naively tries all devices on platform 0.

EDIT: sry, was a bit quick there, I thought you were on windows as well. We need to check the 18.30 amdgpu-pro release. Looks to me it's using rocm kernels rather than amdcl2 (the format for windows and earlier amdgpu-pro releases). I'm guessing they have merged in the rocm stack for vegas from the point where they relaxed the PCIe atomics requirements. We dropped rocm support in this release but should get it back in again shortly. This should hopefully solve your issue.

I normally have gfx901, not a gfx900.  I've had that same issue before.  I normally rename the gfx900.bin to gfx901.bin in the miners that require a .bin file

just verified clinfo, it's "gfx901"

oh.. and how about api support?

We will address the gfx901 issue in the next release, but for the time being you can try disabling HBCC on the cards while mining.

Adding API support is on our todo list, but we don't have an estimate on when we'll get it released yet.

I am using tdxx miner with RX 580 - 8gb cards and getting from 3.25 to 3.45Mhz on lyra2z. It works like clock on 1250 core and 1400 memory. Should i upgrade to this miner instead? Will performance be better or lower power draw? Thanks. I am using Linux version. Also is it different dev fee from tdx miner and how much is it?

@hizzy2023

Basically, this is tdxminer, but it has been renamed and we're now two devs working on it. There is no change in performance nor dev fee for lyra2z. There are a few outlier bugs fixed though, so it's never a bad idea to upgrade. It is 100% command line compatible with tdxminer, so it should be a 1 min thing for you Smiley.
