Another bitcoiner already submitted, and I declared him the winner, but wanting him to tighten up the pic, for it was too lame. If you came in second, I will pay you also. PM me an address so that if you did come in second, I will pay you also. Just want to be fair across the board with this impromptu little contest, bud.

Quote
“I am no longer involved in that and I cannot discuss it

I find the second half of the sentence to be extremely odd.

He either misspoke or the reporter heard him incorrectly.

It sounds like a perfectly rational answer IF she was asking about his government work. No longer involved in it (retired) and can't discuss it (signed nda type agreements).

It all depends on how she phrased it/asked him. You know she wanted this story - badly.

After looking at the rest of this women's "articles" it's pretty clear shes just a hack who needed any story to save a career that was anything from noteworthy. Her previous stories are just human interest pieces dressed up as real news.

Looks like in early/mid 2009 Dorian Nakamoto was quite involved in his model train hobby. See http://www.oscalemag.com/docs/ost_45.pdf

I don't think that's a guy running a 60-node cpu mining cluster.

I would like to see the names of the people who build these beautiful models, but not the real name of the dude that created Bitcoin.

Quote
Who Made that?
I would like to see manufacturer's names on the equipment photos in OST.I think it is a disservice. When an item looks good, we readers might like to purchase it. Your weathering article on the covered hopper (OST #40) had no manufacturer name.
Dorian Nakamoto, Calif.
Joe responds - You are correct. We did not identify Atlas O as the manufacturer of the cylindrical hopper used in that article. We often are not given manufacturer information on items that appear in photos submitted for articles unless it's self-evident. However, we will strive to identify items more clearly in future articles.

1st broadcast crew scene at the Bitcoin founder's house, now it's a press sidewalk party pic.twitter.com/zYeeuVWYYg

We interrupt this broadcast to bring you the latest on Mt Gox. Via skype, we have Tibane, Mark Karpeles' cat.

This just in! Satoshi Nakamoto has been found. His real name is Satoshi Nakamoto. Reporting live, from the home of Satoshi Nakamoto we have...

Not the pedophile clip by the same reporter, the other one!

That's it! There's a press sidewalk party going on in front of Satoshi Nakamoto's house.

I imagined this could be a real episode of South Park too haha

I would suggest that no one buy or subscribe to Newsweek, and cancel if you already have a membership.
---snip---

And definitely do not buy any of those highly priced printed magazines that I believe are being printed this Friday.

and now she is getting her own interview!
http://www.newsweek.com/journalist-behind-bitcoin-story-speaks-out-231170

no spines.....

WOW! She didn't even know what dox meant. How can a reporter not be familiar with this term? Granted, I learnt about it via this very forum, but a seasoned reporter being clueless? Odd!
