Wanted to see what everyone thought was the best settings for S9 13.5. I have it hooked to a Antminer 1600W PSU via 220v. Have autotune running with the PSU power set at 1440w. Currently pulls between 13 and 14.3 TH/s some times dips a little lower for a bit. Board temp is around 70c and Chip temp is around 87c.

Do you have free power? Do you have 1 cent power? Do you have 2 cent power? Do you have 3 cent power?
Or is you power cost so high that no matter what you do you mine at a loss?

Power cost is 0. This is running in a data center we acquired and have empty floor space until the lease is up at the end of the year. We are trying to put some use to the space while we have it.

you are close enough to perfect. you could try hand tuning each one manually. or you could try 1400 auto tune 1375 auto tune 1350 auto tune 1325 auto tune 1300 auto tune. each machine will have a favorite setting. your temps are high enough that using a lower watts could be better for you. Hey I have a question for anyone running nicehash what are you pool setting I can not get my braiins to hook up to nicehash.

okay. I set my braiins to. more then one address and none work.
stratum+tcp://sha256.usa.nicehash.com:3334 146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3 x
stratum+tcp://sha256.usa.nicehash.com:3334#xnsub 146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3 x
stratum+tcp://sha256.eu.nicehash.com:3334#xnsub 146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3 x
stratum+tcp://sha256.eu.nicehash.com:3334 146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3 x
none of the above work.
I know the address is good
maybe I will try the asicboost pool
thanks for the asicboost pool idea. got this one to work.

If you want those servers work i think you need disable "ASICBOOST".
yeah. that did not work. but using asic boost checked with the sha256asicboost.eu.nicehash.com:3368. worked maybe a bug. in that when you look to turn the asic boost off it does not work.

nice hash has always been flakey.
Now that I am building modded 2 board s9's with braiins designs to run quiet and on 120 volts.
A lot of people want to run them on nicehash and on solo.ckpool
I sold pairs of them and one will be point to solo one will be pointed to nicehash
they are space heaters first. miners second.
I set them at 8.05 volts and freq 300
I swap out the fans which makes gear quiet and caps top speed at
8.4 volts and freq 450
fans are set to 50%. which is 1600-1700
and you have a 350-360 watt space heater.
doing 4.4 th

I have used it with Nicehash just fine, it works. This is the URI i used:
stratum+tcp://sha256asicboost.usa.nicehash.com:3368#xnsub
Its simply the asicboost port. I haven't tried non asicboost, but see no point when asicboost works just fine.
BTW: Mining Rig Rentals also work, its only slow to pick up.

The other day, when nicehash was paying really high was on the sha265 account not the sha256asicboost, soo there is a point here, there is something bad, a bug or something that not let the Braiins software connect to the sha256 servers.

Everyone is asking this lol. All i know so far: They claim to have it working with an S17, but nothing has been released yet. It is their main goal for the next (non nightly) release. Nightly is for late bug fixes, requires installing into NAND and is enabled via ssh with the command: bos nightly_feeds on. I have no idea if the other models are close or different enough from the S17 to require separate images, or more testing/changes before getting support.

That btcv2? craze also spread to the sha256asicboost rentals as well...

With the halving well behind us and with summer coming I decided it was time to install Braiins OS+ on all my S9's for some more efficient mining. All my S9's are running the March 2019 firmware from Bitmain that crippled SSH, so I had to use a SD-card to install Braiins. But about 25% of my S9's are missing the U6 chip behind the SD-card slot, and these machines won't boot from SD.
What is the best way to install Braiins on machines in this situation?

edit for clarity. This interests me please give me a minute Here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-tLR6sEVQsat 1:37 I took this screen shot note sd card note jumper is moved note I marked off the chip you say is missing. I Think you may have an issue. Does the card fit in correctly? Is the slot like the slot in my video? Note I say in the video sometimes you must flip the card. As the slot was flipped. That is an easy fix. but if that is not your issue I think you may not be able to fix them.

Those are interesting results. You should give more chance to the autotuner, with a very low powerlimit it should outperform your manual settings. The only problem is the time it takes until it decides its "stable" (can take several hours, less with a lower powerlimit) Also, the settings from the autotune are only saved if you use the nightly version, which you need to enable via ssh with the command bos nightly_feeds onThis only works in the miner you have installed into nand, until they release a new SD image.

My controller board looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/Ld4Bxxg.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/40qEr62.jpgThe orientation of the SD-card is not the problem.

i did a few boards with the style sdcard holder.
it is the upside down version of my one on the video.
so you indicate you know to flip the sdcard.
i notice the pins on the four jumpers are set to boot from nand not from sdcard.
i assume you had the jumper correct and you could boot the sdcard. i assume you then moved jumper back to boot from nand and then found out it never loaded.
please confirm.

I think you will be forced to use the serial port hack, this is very advanced i think there are only a couple of topics that talk about it. I think you can force flash an older bitmain firmware with ssh access and then move from that. Good luck if you decide to try it, post back your results!
