Bitmain or many mining sites will sell one. As long as it is over 1400w you will be fine. the miner uses 1200w where abouts are you located?

Hi, Where can I by PSU for Zig Z1? My is died.

Thanks for your response AKMiner. There are 2 online retailers offering the Z1+ for $4200, includes PSU and delivery, i.e. Asicminermarket and Estrahash. If you can charge the same and also allow me to add trade insurance i will gladly buy this product from you now

There are a number of Alibaba suppliers that will allow trade assurance if you pay with credit card or a checking account.  That is how I purchased my Z1 originally.  I paid a fair price, but not amazingly low, but at least I had the assurance that I would be reimbursed if something went wrong.

I am extremely hesitant with any company or website that doesn't have an established reputation or some sort of 3rd party verification that I trust.

Like anything else, it is all about how much risk you are willing to take.

Thanks I feel the same that’s why I am so hesitant to get into this deal. This is a hugh risk which I cannot afford to take. Maybe it’s better to get a few Z9 mini’s and hope for the best. Sitting in limbo...I have also asked the supplier on the link you sent me for a quote so let’s see what happens.

Like our colleague from Iran, I am also employed full time and need a machine that takes care if itself therefore this machine may not be for me, if it needs babysitting. I also travel during the week so need to revisit my initial plans

I understand.  I think you said you have free electricity too.  I don't know how technical you are though.  If you know you are going to have to spend +/- 20 minutes a day and occasional downtime to make these work and think that lyra2rev2 will stay profitable for at least 6 months (and the coins won't fork) then go for it.  But it is a high risk type of decision.

I purchased 6 Z9 minis with the first and second batch, and they have almost paid for themselves and could still sell them if I wanted... so sometimes it works out.  Maybe this one will, maybe it won't but I am banking on bitcoin (because I use nicehash) going back up in the future so that will help my overall profit.
[/quote]

Thanks for this feedback, what daily profitability are you getting from the Z9 mini’s? The price has dropped and Bitmain has them for $630 + $100 for PSU and delivery. I can get 4 or 5 of these hence the question.

I have switched from Nicehash to prohashing, and am earning between $5 and $7 per day per Z9 mini in BTC.  My wife and I were mining Zen for the last month, but decided to switch for simplicity.  So it is ROUGHLY a 120 day ROI at current returns, which is not quite as good as the Z1 if it works properly, but better than most.

Thanks for the feedback, so with x6 you are getting around $120 per day mining Zen? Okay and these machines can still fetch around $500-600 if you decide to sell

Regarding Temperatures: What is the performance but safe temperature zone for these z1 asic chips? Lower, mid, upper ranges? What's too high?

Yes it can make you some money.  Will it repay itself at this point?  No one has any clue.  Right now you will earn between $45-$70 USD per day (a huge range) and it is only going to go down.   If you pay $4,500 USD, you MAY have a 100 day ROI, it may be a year, it may never if the coins fork.

You have to make your own choices.  I bought one when it first came out because I thought the risk was worth to potential reward and I have earned about $1,000 back.  I still have a ways to go.

And what about Monacoin? Devs of Mona are going to stay with ASIC? Is there any info about?

if you want to modify the config files on the filesystem then you need to get the root password. if anyone can crack the password here is the hash :

Username: root
PW Hash: $6$pvnavTv2$2W/s.veJLVbb1g9qJpFO7ATNNBiOtwt.MXABU6nRVgJwuiS3WlBrRMj0avAdnHL

Username: fa
PW Hash: $6$muvIxroU$Lcuu06mrLbEONRLK312njB.RTI4dbC9QdJAZ6Bam0RnJpibRO2K62XHBKRKRo3U1IDFTtTAdXb/h.vp8vXuio1

regards

hash for root not full specified.

Here is the correct:
Code:
root:$6$pvnavTv2$2W/s.veJLVbb1g9qJpFO7ATNNBiOtwt.MXABU6nRVgJwuiS3WlBrRMj0avAdnHLt4XSfDBTyt52n7ORs.1hpj.

Decryption Result: root:envision

Use with pleasure. Smiley

No that math is not right... I make between $35 and $42 per day from my Z9 minis...  I was getting much more before.  That 120 is the number of days that it would take to break even on a single Z9 mini, roughly.  Sorry, I had done the math without showing my work. Smiley

Even just a quick look shows no 3rd party reviews.  Maybe they are legit, but I wouldn't trust them.

Agree, waiting for the quote from that supplier with trade assurance. Will go for the Z1+ as it has a better ROI cos this is a huge investment for me as a first time miner. Also the support is amazing in this group and I may need some help as I am not as technical as most of you. Hopefully this miner pays itself of before any drastic changes happens. It’s a gamble...risk vs reward

Any legit website to buy it from?
Asicminermarket seems to have half and half positive/scam reviews.
I'd buy dire3from the company if anyone had the legit website.
