Just realized all the hashrates spiked just enough for someone to have more than 51% of the hashpower on all the networks..

I'm going to avoid AKMiner, their website is dodgy. If you goto https://www.akminer.com/all-products/the-worlds-first-the-most-power-efficient-28nm-lyra2rev2-asic-miner-dayun-zig-z1 and right click on the image it opens dodgy popups like your computer is infected. Why is AKMiner using this dodgy practice? Hopefully, a moderator will not delete this message.

For some reason non of the Chinese websites are made in the right way or really secure. They all using fake certificates like Norton or McAfee, simply copy pasting their images to gain trust. Truth is, none of them do give a dayum about customers privacy. They even sometimes post publicly tracking numbers Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy. I do not put my credentials in any of them without protection Cheesy...

We use letsencrypt the free certification why waste time to get fake certificates like norton or Macfee? I actually don't understand what's kind certification you have mentioned  such as Norton / Macfee certifcation really purpsoe. unless you want to say it's ssl protocol, but we already use letsencrypt and it's from Google.

Actually as basic privacy protection awareness  I have never put credentials on any non trusted website too. understand for you the www.akmienr.com are not famous but there is some guys already bought miner from Us, and they have good experience, so you can trust us.

To me, it doesn't seem like the profitability is coming back up because a new ASIC model being tested has been turned off, it's just GPU miners leaving lyra2rev2 coins.

I've had a few miners and I've personally never seen the hashrate/difficulty double in the space of a couple of hours upon a new miner release or manufacturer testing. The fact that vertpig has gone offline due attacks makes me think it's an attack but I can't find anything official from mona or vert.

This same thought crossed my mind.  Literally every Lyra2rev2 coin hash rate doubled or tripled in a very short time (from like midnight to 3am).  That is insanity and makes me think something else is going on.  Maybe it is bitmain or some other manufacturer testing out a bunch of miners, or something similar, but it seems like a good way to wreck future earnings since coins will be much more likely to fork if they see this behavior...

So I am thinking it is some sort of bad actor trying to attack the coins.

It seems to be fine now after reporting the issue, if I see it again then I'll record the screen capture.

You know what's funny about this?
The hashrate of Lyra2Rev2 went actually down on Nicehash.
Not by much but it did.

https://www.nicehash.com/algorithm/lyra2rev2

- Vertcoin went up from 1,3-1,5 TH/s to over 3 TH/s https://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/vertcoin-network-hashrate-chart

- MonaCoin went up from 3,8-39 TH/s to over 8 TH/s https://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/monacoin-network-hashrate-chart

- Straks went up from 24 to over 50 https://www.crypto-coinz.net/coin-info/?100-Straks-STAK-Lyra2v2-calculator/

- Galactrum went from34 to over 70 https://www.crypto-coinz.net/coin-info/?45-Galactrum-ORE-Lyra2v2-calculator/

- HanaCoin went up from 19 to over 30 https://www.crypto-coinz.net/coin-info/?188-Hanacoin-HANA-Lyra2v2-calculator/

- Verge Lyra2Rev2 hashrate is going up and down: https://www.crypto-coinz.net/coin-info/?121-VERGELyra2v2-XVG-Lyra2v2-calculator
But the diff is going up https://www.coinwarz.com/difficulty-charts/verge-difficulty-chart

Theory 1:
Big order went out (Z1/Z1+) and the miners got online this night.

Theory 2:
Another manufacturer is testing a new miner.

Just doing the basic math... it would only take about 1,000 Zig Z1 miners to increase the hash rate that much, which would be probably $4 million.  For good sized mining operations, this would not be difficult to achieve.  It seems weird that it happened all at once, but I bet a medium size mining operation saw the profitability and bout like 1,000 miners.  Even if it takes a year to pay off (which is half the current return) they still are doing great.

How to upgrade thermal paste to more stability and cool the chips.
Original thermal paste will dry and lower conduct the heat. And not full of contact surface.

1.this is picture front and back of board
https://ibb.co/iZ8bwL
https://ibb.co/nKjS30

2. Screw of at front 6 screw each heat sink then clean the old thermal paste , you will see a not full contact surface
then unscrew 2 screw to release the back plate.(Direct contact to PCB board) and clean
https://ibb.co/mvU5qf
https://ibb.co/mwFObL
https://ibb.co/fYxEi0

3. clean PCB board
https://ibb.co/dGbUGL

4. place a Arctic MX-4. I choose it because high conductivity of heat 8.5watt/MK , cheap and durability for 8 years.
put the black plate to cover the back and screw 2 screw
https://ibb.co/jpwUGL

put thethermal paste to your chips and spread to make sure fully contact surface.
https://ibb.co/etiLO0

Finish, result decrease in 2-3 celcius in the same condition. better stability for hashing.
I use approximate 10-12g of arctic MX-4. then you must prepare enough thermal paste.
statistic from nicehash, this is Z1 not Z1+
https://ibb.co/bQTC30
nice  job thank you very much for all photos
i request that if possible could you take a closer photo for chip surface.
what kind number or wrting on it

What would be super cool would be if a company started developing inexpensive waterblocks...  near silent operations for all the ASICS sounds amazing.

I only know a device that cools the miner with oil...

Yeah, I saw that too.  But a simple waterblock that all you have to do is screw on, like an EKWB style would be awesome.  Probably two 280mm radiators and regular computer fans I would think (instead of the high CFM fans that come with the ASICs and are LOUD).  It probably wouldn't even be very hard if you had a 3d printer and some modeling experience. I feel like if you could sell them for like $75 per waterblock so $300 for a 4 hash board ASIC that keeps the temps at like 35 would sell pretty well.

Hello
The Zig Z1 miner arrived me today
I do not know anything about configurations and pools
My device is now connected to the nichash pool
And it's getting very low ($ 18)
How can I more make a profit?
Which pool is more profitable?
Which currency to mining from which pool?

experienced Miner,  Please guide me
I bought the device at the worst time, and today the profitability of the device has been very low,I only hope to see the money of the device in the coming years.

thanks

Hello,
Today I received my Zig Z1 +. Have this connected and started. He is not running properly. The red lamp (firmware) lights up again and again. I also do not find him in my network. Have him restarted several times and also tested another USB stick with the latest firmware. Always the same problem.
I have already run 2 Zig Z1 and had no problems finding these, run without problems!
It would be nice if someone had a solution, thank you!
