The official site for firmware download: http://download.zigminer.com

Let me know if anyone tried the Z1 firmware on a Z1+.

I don't know what else to do because z1+ 20181015 doesn't work for my Z1+. So disappointed I couldn't get it to work this weekend.

I really hope it is not a bad unit coz that will take weeks to sort out.

Got this mail from Dayun:

Quote
...This problem will be solved by November 1, the complexity of the network will be increased, and earnings will be restored....

So, what’s up on Nov 1?

They pull a Thanos, and remote-brick half the Z1 miners already running. Allowing difficulty to drop, and profitability to return for those Z1's who remain.

Lol!!

Looks like they are close to the 5000 sold mark so it will interesting to see how this is going to happen. Unless, they are going to shut their own farms off??? I don’t know much about this but it’s odd how they are suddenly going to control profitabilty, being a small company. I am grateful for this intervention so bring it on

Ask the company you bought it from to help...it’s in their best interests

Obviously maybe they will close their own mass machines which is running ,cos they are new and small company  ,they already got the very bad complains from the buyers and China distributors  (including www.akminer.com ) ,they do not lose the first batch buyers confidence for later series machines ,win/win is business basic rules but it seems they failed on it ,maybe they want to do something to save some buyers and trying to get the market share ,anyway ,let's see what will happen in Nov .

These fu**** lost me already as buyer....Invested quite a heavy amount (over70k) in their shit miner and regretting to the fullest. Never ever again....from my point of view they can f*** off now and take the money and say goodbye to crypto market

If you ordered a Z1+, but they sent you a Z1... how would you know? (Outside is identical?). Is the difference really only firmware?

interface shows you what is z1+ or z1. in the other hand both devices almost the same. they changed some software configuration files.

Saw few comments about the core temperature on the interface, my Z1+ runs in a range from 47-52 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Johannesburg has been around the 35 degree mark over the past few days. Is this okay or should I be concerned?

Hi

what it like there in JHB with power cuts and stuff, how you manage the downtime when no electricity ? also whats the going price for electricity now ?

just curious, didnt think there would be a lot of people willing to mine crypto in SA.

The power grid has stabilized a bit so the power cuts are minimal, but still happens...when you least expect it to. Considering a solar solution to mitigate the power risk but that also comes a massive cost. The cost of electricity works on a step pricing scale. On average it starts from $0.12 p/kw and it increases with usage. This machine will cost around $140 pm. Mining is a bit expensive here. Just to give you an idea, the Z1+ sells for around $8800, due to all the taxes and the week Rand. Then add the power challenges, poor internet stability and trading fees. So you need to know what you are doing and the ROI takes 2 or 3 times longer than the many other countries.

Are you an ex-South African?

Also considering using a hosting service, in SA  Not too many miners...evident through the lack of interest when mining machines go up for sale.

hello to everyone

i bought the 23/10/2018  Z1+. from the very first beginning i started to use it at nicehash pool. the problem is the it never-never go on average above 6,57gh/s. they promised 7.2gh/s. wtf is going on here?

i overclocked it to 1150 frequency. nothing was improved. i overclocked it with putting auto frequency to "1" at miner.json file. again nothing happened.

i dont know what to do to increase the hashing. this is rediculous. from the asicminervalue.com profit prediction, i am behind 3-4 euros.

can you please advise how can we overclock this thing?

i am using 20181015 firmware. it came with this firmware installed.

do you think i have a difesient asic miner? is it problematic or it is natural this hash rate?

at what gh/s do you have your Z1+. please reply only those who have Z1+
