Hello

I have the same problem now.
Fan out shows "0" and the miner does not mine.
But the fan is turning...

I have deactivated the "Auto Stop Miner" -> Still not mining
Made new firmware stick - > Still not mining

Someone has an idea?

hi, my Z1 stopped mining suddenly as I've discovered the dashboard reports outtake fan speed to "0"

of course the fan is connected and running, but most likely the logic board don't recognise anymore the RPM sensor. Some component possibly has gone...

any idea how to set by software to avoid FAN speed check?

any other idea?
thanks!
/E

what is error message may not reboot or else. did you check pool and wallet addresses are they yours?

no messages at all, the pool is correct and marked as "active" for a little while but OUT as fan speed is "0", the red firmware error LED get on and the miner starts to reboot in an endless loop...

I've checked the main boards component but I didn't find anything burned out...

I'm pretty sure it's possible to solve the issue by disabling fan speed check on firmare by a setting or recompiling it, but no source code is available and nobody seems to know the real identity of DaYun manufacturer...

Very annoying situation.

Same here...

I don't have any error message.
Evrything started when the Fan Out showed 0 RPM.

I even tried to trick the software...
I activated again the "Auto Stop Miner" and set the out speed to 0
Then i exported the Miner. json file and set there the value from 0 to -1
Did not help...

I also opend the miner and checked the boards and they are all fine.

One thing is strange.
Normally when you look from above on the boards you can see some leds blinking.
But now i only get 2 boards blinking, one board does not blink but the led is on and 1 board does not blink at all...so maybe dead?

Not sure if its right to say that out loud at the moment but a miner without a relatively solid (I call bitmains support relatively solid) support is just a waste. Cause they all come to a point where they have an issue. And sorry to say that (AKMINER Included) all you Chinese sellers do not provide any after buy services and its ridiculous. Even a repair at dayun is on payment and that makes the ROI get to a unreachable amount of time.

We resell ourselves but we fix those things in our office daily. Fans not working, firmware not ok, control-board crashing and none, absolutely none of all of the resellers nor manufacturer does anything or takes responsibility. We fix the miners but only if we have physical access to them, remotely trying to fix is a mess (the problems described in this group are mostly local network issues dhcp/static ip or simply an IP problem).

We are trying to collect the issues and create a little pdf helper for everyone...not sure when we are ready but just wanted to say again, dont buy miners that do not have any support, its not worth it and dont believe the bull**** those sellers are telling you about support and service, they wont do shit at the end.

Can anyone give me full instructions on how to overclock the Z1+?

Access your miner over the web browser.
Go to the "Settings".
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Export".
Open the exported file (miner.json). File can be opend with the Windows Word Pad.
The first two options you see are "auto_frequent":"0","frequency":"900"
Set the "auto_frequent" from 0 to 1
Set the "frequency" to 950/1000/or what ever you want.
Save and close the file.
Access your miner over the web browser.
Go to the "Settings".
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "import".
Choose the file miner.json.
Wait till it's done. You get a message that tells you that it's done.
The miner reboots.
Wait a few mins and then check if it's working.

I could also consider a paid repair even if the miner is brand new supposed to be in warranty, but the point is that I still haven’t found the REAL DaYun manufacturer contact! Do you know it (verified)?

And if you have an idea how to repair the main board, could you suggest me a way (I have some electronic skills)?

I’ve just visually inspected all components and tested capacitors and resistors without finding anything burned out.

I could also consider to ship you the whole device, where are you located?

Thanks!

Thank you so much for this.

Once I did that, the admin page is reading the higher hashes, but Prohashing is reading really low hashes, which isn't uncommon at the old hash rate (for this POS miner,) just wondering if they may be some correlation?

It eventually fixed itself.... this frequent drop in Hash rate is getting pretty annoying.

Using the overclock method noted above to 1000 mhz and the original 09152018 firmware, I get 7.2 gh/s on my Z1, or at least that's what prohashing tells me.  It doesn't matter what the dashboard says, it's garbage, whatever the pool is telling you is what you need to look at.

I had lots of problems with nicehash, a lot of stale shares.  Some people apparently do not.  I like the prohashing interface and ability to get paid out in any coin, and the pool hash rate is better than some of the others, though Zpool and Ahashpool and MPH seem to do ok too.

Disable "Check nonce" and remove "#xnsub".
Hashrate will be about 6/6.2 GH with a profit of about 2.8/2.9 mBTC at day.
I use 20181029 firmware with restart option enabled at 6, frequency static at 850.
Try and let me know if you have same results.

Does anyone have better results with nicehash right now?
Please share.

I'll try these setting on Nicehash. My version is 930 haven't gone further in updates yet. my clocks are set to 1000 and 975 both auto. Was averaging 11-12GH/s before changing.

True website is https://download.zigminer.com/

and The new firmware arrived. More stable more hash rate 29.10.2018
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jklZzNDkBKDxHUQKd5V9kKiu_QWlcUug

Someone else tested this fw?

Yes.
Stable for about 40 minutes then half board (not always the same but randomly) stops mining.
Tested with Nicehash at 850 Mhz nonce disabled.
At 900 Mhz same thing but some CPUs go wrong more easily.

Hello, i am newbie here, with all due respect, i need a help. i created the usb with the imageusb.exe. whAT DO I DO NEXT. DO I PLUG IN TO THE MINER? i can't find the zip file at all after the procedure of imageusb.exe

Well, they provide a program (made by a known team) to either flash some boot file to the usb or to extract them (make a copy on your pc)

http://download.zigminer.com/

http://prntscr.com/laxnoq

If you feel adventurous enough to stop your miner, I'll be real happy to get this file Smiley

Hello, please help me i will appreciate anybody.
When i create image from usb drive, i getting .bin on my desktop.
But i can't to open it with daemon tools or others... It crashes. What happend how to update?
When i write image to usb, it just changes my USBdrive format and it looks like as a boot flash drive.
Thanks anybody who will answer me.

I think it was meant to give less rejects due to stale. I ran those settings last night for an hour and ended up going back to how i had it with #xnsub and check nonce on. I had nothing but dramas pools were dying flat out and hash rate was all over the place. This is on Nicehash. I did try prohash and blockmaster wasn't happy with the pay outs compared to Nicehash this was when the miners were earning really well.

I have just updated my miners to version 1029 so might try again in a few days though.

Extranonce.subscribe support cause a lot of rejects and unstable hashrate with my Z1. I tryed "--queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1" options in preview versions but same results.

I had a hashrate of 6242 in the last 24 hours, that is my best result with Nicehash but is so far from 6800! It's frustrating!

Not needs to upload anything.
You have to plug the key into the miner and turn on. Default IP is 192.168.1.100.
