Hello, I have been following this forum for a while. I have two Zig Z1 that were working fine up to firmware 0930. Last week I updated to 1105 thinking that it would go up to the proper profit level and the opposite happened. It went from .0065 BTC/ day to .0039 BTC/day. So I went back to the previous firmware and settings but couldn't make it work the same.
I was not able to bring them back to .006BTC/day, the higher they go up is .0054 BTC/day.
Now the same happened with this new firmware update 1116. Is it that this firmwares don't work at all? or why am I having so bad profits with these new firmwares.
@Zigminer Can you give us the optimal setting configuration for the new firmwares or  explain why they doesn't work.

5.4 mBTC/day per miner is pretty good, considering the state of the market.

It is not per miner, 5.4mBTC / 2 miners = 2.7mBTC per miner

Hi . Profits have been greatly reduced
It takes more than a year to recover capital

And every day it gets less. And that is very bad

Hi all! after installing the new firmware, using imageUSB.exe and following instructions ( it does not matter which versions) the miner is not identified.
https://imgur.com/uS2Pu34

What I am doing wrong? What flash_USB better to use? Should I additionally paste  BIN file into the USB_flash drive? after installing I can not find BIN in new USB Drive.

Thanks in advance,
I really need to disable Fan function via new firmware  Cry Cry Cry

¡ tried  three pools including this one.

nlpool gives 0.0003 btc for 10 hours
blockmasters gives 0.0005 btc for 10 hours
nicehash gives 0.0009 btc for 10 hours

champion is nicehash. it gives 2x and 3x  more in same time period. do not waste your time and device.

New Firmware 20181116 - Overclocking bye bye

How do i know that? Very easy...

I made a lot of tests about OC
You can check it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5038441.msg46842719#msg46842719

Before my miner stopped working (Fan Check Problem - now solved with version 20181116), i was running Firmware 20180930.
Firmware 20189030 was the first version with a working overclocking.

----------------------------------------------
All Firmware before 20180930
@900MHz: ~6GH/s using ~1200W
@1000Mhz: ~6GH/s using ~1200W
You can set the MHz at 1000, it shows 100Mhz on the Mainpage of the miner BUT it does not work.

----------------------------------------------
Firmware 20180930
@900MHz: ~6,5GH/s using ~1200W
@1000Mhz: ~7,1GH/s using ~1400W (Chips ~3-4°C hotter)

Working OC, needing more power and getting a bit hotter...perfect.

----------------------------------------------
Firmware 20181116
@900MHz: ~6GH/s using less then 1200W
@1000Mhz: ~6GH/s using less then 1200W
You can set the MHz at 1000, it shows 100Mhz on the Mainpage of the miner BUT it does not work.

----------------------------------------------

So we are back to square one with the performance of the miner...

Don't get me wrong @Zigminer
I'm happy that you solved my problem with the Fan Check option.
But...yeah, the performance is gone cuz we can't overclock the miner with this firmware.

Edit:
And i have again the problem that at some point the hashrate goes down and i need to restart the miner so many times b4 it's back to normal.

Add me to the list of people that cant get 1116 to mount or if it does mount the miner wont work. I have tried downloading image.usb from the passmark site and still have issues V1.4 and v1.3. Have tried multiple usbs and still no luck. I have even tried to remount old stored version i have saved on my pc and they wont mount either. It also appears to always be the same things that fail to verify.

For me its always a bit hard to get the usb formatted, but once this hapend and all partitions are gone , stick is clean, i can just write the image with the .exe provided and the miner works? Ow i always have to change the ip from the .1 to the .0 range again... but once that is done im back online Smiley im running the new firmware atm and it works. Strange thing is i cant format my usb with my desktop windows 10 but when i plug it in a old laptop it works... via dos. Cmd diskpart list disk select disk "x" clean.

EDIT: when i try in my desktop the usb apears and disapears again... when i try in an old laptop it stays sometimes 😂 maybe someone can provide me a better solution to clean the usb? Anyway once cleaned write is no issue

Is the 200watt extra worth the 0.6ghz? In some setups this might get temperatures to hot for some ppl...
But what is more interesting is that you claim 0930 software gives you 0.5 ghz for free? Can someone confirm?

Bro, do you have nicehash stocks??? i have been in contact with many miners since yesterday, and thrust me, there is no such thing as a pool paying 3 times as much as another pool. Margins are more likely to be a few percent at maximum.

First , the difficulty is going up enormously since these Z1 devices are oversold, causing more instability in rewards. This is not only on my pool , but on all pools since it takes longer time to find blocks. The difficulty for Monacoin has gone up a factor 10 since mid october to give you an example, where price has stayed more or less the same. Please feel free to check the data and put the graph on 3 months:

https://www.coinwarz.com/difficulty-charts/monacoin-difficulty-chart

If you are an expierenced miner you should know that if you want to say something reasonable that you have to test like 72 hours or so to get some decent data.

I just try to help people to get a part of their investment back .... as ROI seems impossible with profits of +/- 15 to 20 USD per day ex. power costs.

Up until this version i have never had a problem with mounting the software and the miner will work fine. I also have to switch them to the .0 range but iam aware of that so its not that. most time i can use imageusb be to reformat. i ended up using one of my old versions i had saved on a usb and getting the miner to work that way. after all the dramas last night i still havent gotten 1116 to work
