HELLO ZIGMINER

A few weeks ago I sent you a letter about the low value of the z1 machine
You replied: We have stopped selling the device and your profit will increase
https://pli.io/2vrd3C.jpg
But today, by checking the amount of hashrate, I realized that you are not honest with us
Hashrate has nearly doubled over the past month, and our profit has fallen by about 5 times
( And your company No Answering My New Mail )

My total income has been around $ 600
provided the cost of purchasing this machine (including customs, sending to Iran) about 6000$ - that is, I got about 10% of the cost of this device over the past month, and also the profit of the device is sharply declining and I think that by the end of this year, this machine will become waste.

that's mean you are no stoping sell , Please also think of our losses

if hashrate more , We will never get the original investment ( not profit ) & And you will be the biggest company in the field of harming your customers

HELLO ZIGMINER

I am an Iranian and I have the same problem. I bought $ 6,000 and will not receive the original money for more than a year

This is normal, and is not the responsibility of the manufacturer to resolve. You purchased this device with the understanding that it was not exclusive to you and that network hashrate increasing means profit decreasing. If you were not aware of this, then that is your own fault. The situation is the same and always has been the same, since the earliest days of mining - additional miners will share the profits, they do not create extra profits out of thin air.

You can see this from 2 sides... there are miners that have more or less for months stable profit... the problem is they just sold 200 boats of this miner... if hdac didnt fork and btc didnt decrease because of bch fork this could be a good deal but now were in a crappy position .... if this thing was stable and working for me in the start ... i had tons of issues getting this thing to work , once i managed to keep it online the profit was half after a few days

THE PROBLEM IS NOT PROFIT DECREASE THERE ARE SOME ISSUES NOT FACED FROM OTHER COMPANIES, LIES!!!

1) Mail from dayun.company: 1st of november network complexity will be  increased and profits will increase. Nothing happened
2) Mail from zigminer : No more dayun will be sold . Nothing happened.
3) There is no official website and there isnt any place to get support.
4) Most of dayun don't get advertised hashrates 6.8 GHZ. There are a lot of firmware but no increase in hashrate and stability.

I have also A9 Zmaster. Its profit decreased too. But i love it. I can get support. I can get firmware updates from official website. I can send my hashboard to innosilicon and change from warrenty. I don't want any dayun lies any more. If you can do anything about hashrate increase, stability or warrenty then do it . People don't have thousands of dollars to throw!!! And they are not stupid enough to believe your lies as you think. Zig will be your last asic to sell if you behave like that.

Of the four firmware releases - 20181015, 20181029, 20181105, 20181116 - is there one in particular that seems to be the "best" from a high hashrate and consistency standpoint?

1105 fell over in less than 3 days. 1029 has been solid and seems to run forever: though I can't do anything about the returns dipping lower and lower...

I had the same problem and solution was to use instead using original usb flash drive 2.0 to use only usb 3.0

You can try.

I went the oc one and got thee json file and set auto to on and clock to 1000. Temps went up and so has poolside hashrate

Personally i have gone back to version 930 so i can overclock my miners and monitor the temps. Luckily i haven't had the fan issue so i dont need to run the most recent version. My miners are Z1 though.

For the Zig Z1+ - I installed 20181116 and am only hashing around 6.0-6.2 Gh/s between 800-925Mhz...not consistent rates across different pools...have done the soft resets, pulled the power and waited, etc.

Of the four firmware releases - 20181015, 20181029, 20181105, 20181116 - is there one in particular that seems to be the "best" from a high hashrate and consistency standpoint?  I'm considering flashing back down to an earlier version, but would love to save the time if anyone has thoughts here.

930 has 2 versions for Zig Z1, overclock and stable . Which one do you use for 1000Mhz ? I tried both one but my hashboards go to yellow and then red lots of hw errors. So i upgraded to last firmware. I dont know why i cant run 3009

I went oc and edit. Turned auto on and set to 1000mhz

Wich version of 0930 did you use to put on 1000mhz? Stable that you edit or the OC?

New Firmware 20181116 - Overclocking bye bye

How do i know that? Very easy...

I made a lot of tests about OC
You can check it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5038441.msg46842719#msg46842719

Before my miner stopped working (Fan Check Problem - now solved with version 20181116), i was running Firmware 20180930.
Firmware 20189030 was the first version with a working overclocking.

----------------------------------------------
All Firmware before 20180930
@900MHz: ~6GH/s using ~1200W
@1000Mhz: ~6GH/s using ~1200W
You can set the MHz at 1000, it shows 100Mhz on the Mainpage of the miner BUT it does not work.

----------------------------------------------
Firmware 20180930
@900MHz: ~6,5GH/s using ~1200W
@1000Mhz: ~7,1GH/s using ~1400W (Chips ~3-4°C hotter)

Working OC, needing more power and getting a bit hotter...perfect.

----------------------------------------------
Firmware 20181116
@900MHz: ~6GH/s using less then 1200W
@1000Mhz: ~6GH/s using less then 1200W
You can set the MHz at 1000, it shows 100Mhz on the Mainpage of the miner BUT it does not work.

----------------------------------------------

So we are back to square one with the performance of the miner...

Don't get me wrong @Zigminer
I'm happy that you solved my problem with the Fan Check option.
But...yeah, the performance is gone cuz we can't overclock the miner with this firmware.

Edit:
And i have again the problem that at some point the hashrate goes down and i need to restart the miner so many times b4 it's back to normal.

I don't know which website you are using, but Zig Z1 and Z1+ are still above A9 ZMaster

This is normal, and is not the responsibility of the manufacturer to resolve. You purchased this device with the understanding that it was not exclusive to you and that network hashrate increasing means profit decreasing. The situation is the same and always has been the same, since the earliest days of mining - additional miners will share the profits, they do not create extra profits out of thin air.

At the beginning of the first batch (2018/08) , our sales price did not exceed $4350. Dayun as our agent added too much money. I am sorry to be late for our website.

if you referenced asicminervalue.com, it is WRONG. now real value is 0.018 ~0.020 btc or around 8~9 usd gross profit.(including electricity). net profit  lower than it depends on electrcity cost. net profit is around 6 usd. think about it. it is priced 1000 times more

dayun's reseller websites sold it around 4500 ~4850 usd. dayun just make profit 10 percent. i asked you: is this machine worth 4350 usd.how much profit do you make. we paid  alot. most of us paid around 5500 ~6000 usd.roi is around 600 days. think about it. now is here most of zig1 owners sell their machines just 2000 usd.

next version will add each hashboard hashrate monitor for autorestart

HELLO ZIGMINER,

for "Auto-Restart", what threshold do you recommend to use for the miner to "Auto-Restart" ?

Currently I have it set at 5Ghs to trigger Auto-Restart but it seems not effective sometimes.

Thanks

about overclock , maybe next version. i need more test .
about hashrate goes down ,  just config autorestart , if hashrate low , auto restart will slove this problem.

@ZIGMINER
please do not get me wrong.
the die is cast. now what should we do. you have the source code and knowledge of this device. device and its software has a lot of problems to make it fix. as you say above.
we need stability of hashrate. we need oc if possible. we need spare parts. we need repair guide. we need support service....etc
