Warning! the following is some ugly truths that you may not like it.

your first and biggest problem is being a newbie and "staying" a newbie without wanting to change. you keep watching Youtube videos from idiots who are targeting newbies who don't understand the market and want to be told what to do in it! and that is exactly what they are doing. and why? because they want to make profit from YOU. which is why they tell you to bag hold your altcoins, which is why they  tell you to buy the altcoins they  bought before the pumps so that they can sell it to you,....

the market is manipulated but nowhere near the way you think it is. there are pump and dumps happening in the altcoin market but as long as they are pumping it you close your eyes on the pumps but as soon as the dump began you start crying about manipulation. but the fact is, those altcoins you bought during the pumps are simply going back to their real value now that the pump is over which is why most of them are back to their initial price prior to the pumps.

the bitcoin is the same too with the difference that it has real utilities so its price will continue rising in the long run because not all of it is speculation and manipulation but also there is real adoption too. $20k was a bubble and it needed to burst, currently $6k is an inverse-bubble which needs to burst too. that is how the market works. sometimes it is too excitable and price shoots up to $20k and then it gets excited again and price drops down to lower than natural prices such as $6k.

try educating yourself about bitcoin or any other altcoin that you think is worth your time. check out the project itself, run the full nodes and try them out by sending transactions and using their features and then compare them. eventually you will figure out what is going on. and by extension you will have a better idea about the market too. so afterwards try watching the charts in the long run, see the changes that has been happening for years. the rises and falls, the volumes that go in and get out and move to some place else....

Patience will always be the key brother in order for you to gain and earn, it will take time but I am sure it will be worth in so do not lose hope and always believe on it. Tons of videos on YouTube over and over again and again, hyping the crap out of this or that coin, anticipating something. But what for. The prices are not moving up when they should be.

What is the point of being excited when market is being manipulated by the most despicable creatures on the planet who see themselves above everyone else.

From my point of view it looks like TPTB saw people getting rich and becoming independent and they couldn't allow so many wealthy individuals in society so they came up with a plan to end this.

If you look at prices you can see how prices hardly change anymore. Heck most of the time Bitcoin prices remain at 0.00! in the hour! Why because they probably set up their bots to pump and dump their coins based on market movement to keep the price the same to prevent people from making money. This isn't so impossible to be true you know.

Just set up some bots and millions worth of money and when ever market provides a hint of an improvement dump it, and when even it going bad pump it. Keeping the prices relatively stable.

I mean why on Earth would anybody in their right mind sell, or setup their bots to sell when positive news is everywhere. It just doesn't make sense. It just an evil behavior that is all.

When you hang cryptocurrency only on a hope you will feel it. Rather than just hoping to better learn and understand and analyze the price movements of bitcoin because with that we can find out when the price of bitcoin will move. Change your mindset about bitcoin don't just expect the profit.

Blockchain technology is one of the best things that ever happened in my lifetime and the most revolutionary after the Internet and I am 52 years old. Yes the state of a manipulated market is not very welcoming, I know because my portfolio has suffered terrible losses, but to be fair with you, when everyone was going to the Occupy Wall St rallies, everyone complained about Wall St but didn't have any solutions for change. Now with Crypto we have many solutions to world problems, so eventually the more the technology behind Bitcoin and Crypto is adopted, the more stability and less manipulation should come with the markets. I am trying to hold on to see those times but yeah 2018 was a horrible year. I nearly capitulated but instead decided to start day trading a little of my dying portfolio and even getting those little percentages has helped my portfolio now stay on life support at least. I wish you good luck and anger won't solve anything unless you channel it into finding a solution that suits you best for the time being while we wait for better days ahead.

I understand why you are so angry and upset, probably even depressed and frustrated. But this is how "normal" currencies should behave (I don't mean some shit like Zimbabwean dollar or Venezuelan bolivar, of course). If you are looking for volatility, which is what you apparently do, go for currency derivatives like futures and options, or even volatility indexes if you have titanium guts and balls of steel. Bitcoin is just becoming one that currency, and I'm thinking that's good. Go hunt elsewhere, maybe, in altcoins?

I guess we can not help with it if the market is not moving. Now there is no such thing as unity and doing the things altogether as if someone might just say here lets start out unity and pump the crypto market more and more. Thats complete rubbish thing, we cant move the market in that manner because there is no unity at all. There is always unbalanced group of people with panic sellers at one site and buyers at one site. Now we cant stop these panic sellers and thus buyers take the full advantage of this situation and keeps buying at lowest prices and thus the market sets out lower prices all the time.
This is what currently happening, and no one is to blame it but this is how it works I guess.

Everyone is getting smarter nowadays, What's let are speculators who know how to play the games. Those who have FOMO is out that's why you don't see any nice pump. Are you expecting that bitcoin would go on a parabolic rise? That's wrong, any speculative asset doesn't work that way. Just look at how altoins suffered, even worst than bitcoin, so just look at it that way.

wow, op has a big issue here, fit to a newbie, anyways, these ups and downs in the bitcoin prices are common and also a result of bitcoin being volatile, too bad that as of present, the price is not that high compared last year because of some major factors that affects the price like positive news, increase in users and dollar price in the market, but as they say, investing in bitcoin is risky, if you dont understand the risk, this will result in ranting like this. i have read a comment here that as of the moment, the best or acceptable thing to do is sell at at least 1% spike, slowly but surely, i think that is what most users  do, they hold when there is a dip then sell once the price spike even a bit, not healthy by the way, for the market. just be patient.

You should not invest into anything else if you are frustrated with the Crypto currency price stability. The price of Gold and Silver and Oil are just as frustrating, because it is even less volatile than the Bitcoin price. 

I think most of your frustration is based on your expectations of what happened in 2017 and that is wrong. I know a lot of people bought at the ATH and they want the Bitcoin price to recover for them to exit the scene with a profit, but unfortunately that is not going to happen soon. <my own opinion>

It is because big people see in the market that there are still people like you left and they want you out before they want to start a new bull trend.

Exactly, those people wanted to see the market condition in a bull trend since experience for long in a bloody market. Almost of us has a high hopes about the market to be increasing of price. And I believe we will see a new moves of price that will benefit the users.

Hearing and seeing market events will only make you sick, I have experienced it for a long time, but for now and until the next day I will no longer listen to what they say and do not care about a market that continues to churn. I know it is nonsense about hodling, but with patience and believe that if the crypto market has a good chance in the future to rise, then you will remain calm and do not have to trust the news that will make you a benchmark in your trade.

The positive news can draw in newcomers that would exchange fiat for crypto and thusly raise the price.

But of all the new people we could draw, a lot have already joined us and a lot of others simply think that bitcoin is a ponzi scheme or whatever.

I think that the market can gain steam again once we're solving problems and creating real value for people, having farmers sell their product for bitcoin and then being able to use that bitcoin to buy farming equipment would be powerful.  Creating second layer solutions to increase transaction throughput would be powerful. The market price itself rising creates illogical bull-runs.


Do you really wanna see 50k within the year even if it means another huge crash that brings us back to 10k? I think what we're trying to build here transcends short term prices.



Also if you truly believe in that conspiracy that would mean that there would be someone out there selling bitcoin below market value. If that was true they would just be throwing money away, and you could potentially pick that money up, either through investing in the exchange itself or even trading against them (being on the other end of their trades).

I don't believe that there is such a conspiracy.

Markets themselves are rational but people aren't. Markets simply operate of supply and demand. You're so right in what you say however, we don't need another big speculative bubble, slow and steady growth is what we need. These large pumps and then harsh bubble explosions are bad for development and adoption and long-term only hurt bitcoin.
