ICO or the type of investment that is happening now (IEO or whatever), I don't trust any kind of investment in crypto. they are all the same, only using different investment methods. I say like this because I have suffered a lot of losses when I invest.

They are far from being trustworthy. Anyone investing ICOs is just enriching them. I'm yet to see the need for the millions they have raised over the years. No exceptional product has been released that we can say is worth a quarter of the millions raised.

Investing in ICO does have a risk and there is definitely a scammer ICO. On the other hand, not all ICOs are scammers. If there is a good project and potentially why don't we invest there. The important thing is not to arbitrarily invest in ICO because it is better to analyze in advance so that you do not get a scam ICO. That is important, because not all ico are scams.

i think you have a point on this, these ICOs are not worth investing in because most of them are scammers that window dress their project to look legit just to attract investors to invest in them, statistics have it that 80% of all the ICOs in the year 2018 were scam. If any project wants to launch they should try to raise money from venture capital firms, or launch the project themselves without ico and them carry the community along with airdrop or bounties. if the project is good enough it will succeed and command demand.

Recently, I read the terms for IEO in Binance and found out that new projects, in addition to providing detailed information, must make certain contributions in the amount of about 25 Bitcoin or even more.  I am sure that the bulk of new projects, I am not talking about scammers, will not be able to provide such funds.

I stopped investing in ICOs long time back. It is not worth to take the risk. I may revisit my decision only if the market shows a remarkable rebound. But the chances are low, and investors continue to lose money in fake projects. And another thing is that nowadays almost all the projects are overpriced. Well if there are a real project (With trustworthy Team) which is really willing to distirbute Their tokens! There are Many ways Without Doing ICO!

ICOs should just get funded from VCs and do an airdrop to community.

Most ico can be done open source on github for free.. the greed in creating all of these project is stifling growth. A lot of innovation come from free open source project from passionate developers.

Im 3 years in this field and strictly advice you do not invest in any ico at all.

You actually foresaw what is happening now. The era of ICO has completely come to a close and has been overtaken the the uprising of IEO. Scammers might still be able to find their way around this new development but it will be minimal.

There are still genuine projects with vision to advance their MVP to a usable product that will make impacts using  blockchain technology, but don't have required funding, how will they go about it? Free will donations? Crowdfunding is the answer here to be candid. Well the best forms of crowdfunding right now in crypto is IEO.  Also STO for existing companies who wish to sell equity  shares.

It's very terrible the way people gather together to create fake projects just to scam. I just feel bad for the people that invest in such projects, I always shed tears watching them lament in various Telegram community groups. There are still good ICO's to invest on but extremely very few.

It's really annoying to note that most ICOs ends as scam projects causing most investors to lose huge sum of money. What about ICO projects that do not end as scam? What about ICO projects that were/are successful? There are corruption everywhere around the globe but not all of us are corrupted, same way with the ICOs, majority of ICOs will end as scam but trust me, the few that won't also end as scam could be your breakthrough.

Yes, Investing in ICO means feeding scammers money! We should stop promoting scam and dead things! The crypto market will do better without more ICO tokens. Most of the token will turn into garbage, no doubt. So, better we should invest in Bitcoins and other potential altcoins!
