It will be beneficial overall if mining can move back away from large farms but I'm skeptical of how this will work, as much as there will be advancements in one area there will be advancements in another which make them near obsolete.

Yes it look good but not all area are good for mine in my place its really hard becuse the per kilo watts here are so high. So mining here its not applicable to those who want mining.

the future of a cryptocurrency depends on its utilities. otherwise mining is only a temporary thing to make money. for instance in case of altcoins the miners create a mining rig and then they look for the most profitable altcoin to mine. then as soon as they find a more profitable shitcoin they switch right away because they know there is no future to the last one and it was only profitable during its pump. which is also why bitcoin hashrate is the only thing that continues to rise consistently.

The problem is most of the manufacturing of these ASIC chips are done in China. The people in other countries will have to come up with something to compete with China, because we cannot afford to have the mining scene being dominated and possibly being monopolized by one country.

Any monopoly will drive up prices for these chips, because they have nobody that can compete with them. You also cannot have only one source for mining hardware, globally.

Improvements like this are predicted to happen because Companies now knows what will the big benefits if they will create such mining unit, Of course, they are always looking for improvements and bitcoin mining is one of their goals to compete with other big companies.

I don't get what you're all on about the new miners will replace the others, the amount of electric will remain the same as the hash rate goes up but form factor and machine wattage is the same. This speculation is good but I do not think that just because of these developments in hardware the entire mining community will be saved because initially these developments will take at least 1 yr before they start selling and even so probably at first the  prices would not be affordable. If anything, these improvements will only come along 5+years from now during which a lot can happen.

I belive that the Bitcoin turns just like a currency, just like us dollar or euro. After the big market fall in early 2018 the bitcoinprice got stabilised. That is a good innovation from the IT company as they still research for new technology to support bitcoin. Don't worry the mining difficulty also will be increased soon so the rewards are not much more like you expected to make but the less power consumption is really a good thing which can make the mining more profitable than the current one,maybe it is just the beginning if the prices of bitcoin keeps growing then more people will interested in creating the best miners.

In this market situation?Mining will only be beneficial to those who lives in areas with lowest electricity prices,because with the smaller value of cryptocurrencies theres no place for miner to gain

My brother use to be a miner,but now he quits because of what he earn from mining is only enough to pay for the electricity billings,things that made him mad and stopped mining activities.this is the sad reality of crypto miners now

Bitcoin is volatile by nature, it also has its ups and downs but I don't think it can ruin its excellency. Bitcoin has gained so much trust and interest of people from across the world.
