don't invest more than you are willing to lose! you should be aware of the possibility that you lose everything you've invested, nothing is guaranteed. look at all the people falling for various investment scams, they're always sure they found the best thing! so, it's good that you are worried but at the same time, it also might be a sign you've invested more than you should

everyone will be scared if they have to lose the money they have, but in the crypto world losing money and getting money is something that is very close. gains and losses are daily activities of crypto currency traders
I agree with you. We lose and gain crypto every day just holding it. But if the wallet will be hacked it will be a real disaster. That's why I want to avoid it or at least minimize the chances.

I suggest you use an offline wallet if you are always nervous about losing your Cryptocurreny, but in my opinion with 2fa and verification of the cellphone number is good enough in terms of security, some exchanges have implemented a good system for security, you can use wallet from exchange binance or other exchange.

I understand there are two ways to maximize security - hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor etc) or storage wallets on your own computer that is not connected to the network. I also have some paranoia about storing the crypto, because there were cases of breaking my exchanges, as well as the loss of a private key. Therefore, there is some rationality in this.

Hey, guys!
I become more and more nervous about my crypto safety. I used different wallets for different coins before and now I want to choose one wallet for everything. I have Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple.
The point is that even the biggest and as I thought the most reliable wallets have problems these days. Money disappear somewhere, there's problems with access and withdrawals.
Can you recommend me a good, safe and reliable wallet, please? I'm sure you have more experience in it.
As far as i know you can try to choose the wallet which give you an ability to take your privatekey. Exodus looks a good choice for you consider about you can take your privatekey and that's the best feature on this wallet. Just try to pick a lot reviews from the internet about that. But this forum had a lot of thread that discussed about that.

I started to worry after some news how people lost their wallets on different services - that's it.

I guess we are all vulnerable to being hack and lose our assets as we commonly use online wallet just like mew, imtoken and the likes. I think to be able to make your holding safe and secure you have to pay for it. You can buy cryptocurrency hardware wallet like ledger nano s where you're the only one who can access your wallet. Just make sure you would not lose it.

I would suggest hardware wallet, I personally use Trezor and I feel pretty save. Another option is to use offline computer, however there are some coins that don't have light wallets and you would need really powerful PC to use it as offline one. And you can combine both offline computer and hardware wallet to further enhance security.

Until now I still use myetherwallet, and have never felt the loss of assets, if you hear news about a person who has lost assets, you can check for yourself why he lost assets, is he a senior investor or beginner, if he is a beginner, it's normal because he can't control what he does. And the way to secure your assets depends on how you control yourself so that you don't enter the hacker's site.

I don't think you should be afraid about other peoples issue with their wallet. There are millions of wallet users all over the world and only a few of them are having problems. 1 to a million is the ratio and there is no need to panic. Don't over react and don't drink too much coffee. LOL Keep calm and don't lose your composure. Those problems will not happen to your wallet. I've been using MEW and never have any problems with it.

Why do you want to use one wallet instead of few? Using multiply wallets is more safe. What will you do if you lose your single wallet somehow?

Don't be afraid brother. There have lot of security for your cryptocurrency. If you want to hold your Bitcoin, etherium and Ripple in wallet, then I recommend you to use Coinbase wallet. It is very secure wallet or you can use hardware wallet.

We are afraid of losing money, too. To keep safe your crypto, I'll recommend using Trezor wallet. This is also what I used to stay away from any kinds of hacks since there are now instances of hacks on mobile and browser-based wallets. It will also keep you safe from phishing sites that automatically saves your personal data (e.g. passwords).

I didn't thought about it until people here started to mention it It's just more convenient to have all at one place, but you're right - it's more risky..

If you don't want to feel that way, it is simply that don't invest just simple. But if you want to invest in any of the altcoins you can MEW(myetherwallet) then for bitcoin you can use Electrum as cold wallet just always keep and save the password, private key and the phrase seed.
